Girls younger than 10th grade can play U15 where as a junior or senior in HS has fewer options. Play Youth Hockey!

He was US Team now drafted to USHL
Not entirely uncommon although not seeing any others drafted from the NTDP this year. Kyle Osterberg did the same before going to UMD.

I remember hearing about an EP bantam A team years ago that won a state title as bantams and in HS, included Kyle Rau, that had 11 players with birthdays after July 1 (old) and the entire team was second years.
