I think because the MN teams aren't really Tier 1 AAA and also we have 40? Bantam AA teams in MN so potentially watered down a bit in the teams and tourney organizers minds.

Transportation for traveling hockey as well as other traveling sports can be a problem. Especially as the kids get older and the travel demands increase.

With over 50 teams I think the District should suggest that the larger associations all field one or two C teams. Makes no sense that there are only 4 teams of 50 playing C.

I can think of around 15-20 top end girls playing PeeWee this year.

The most important function in any association is recruitment.
20-30 new mite girls each year is the goal. Without a consistent strong pro-active effort your association's girl numbers will decline.

Now is the time to pump up your association's mite girl numbers.

Parents just say no. Play U15. High school hockey starts in 10th grade and that's soon enough.
Of course the high school coach may ask some players to move up. Don't. His/her title is HS coach and that's their job. Your title is parent.

I was thinking the same. Bantam isn't a good place for girls. She'll burn out.
