I've seen MGrove play three times this year...and having seen Roseau in Fargo as Squirts the past two years....I would predict Roseau to beat MGrove by a goal or two.

M2C, Those suburb associations still field numerous "B" teams and C teams and have very high enrollments in hockey. Yes, large population base, but the kids that are playing soccer are still playing hockey...the volunteers for these associations are the glue to the success in the numbers. ...

Thanks for the starting this thread! As I went to get the paper this morning and my hair was a little frozen by the time I got in the garage, the first thought was, who will be making ice today...I was even more excited as I got in my car and saw the temperature at 5 degrees. I love this time of yea...

Yes, Plymouth Ice Center 7:15. I think the fire win by 4 plus goals. They have a good squad, finished second at Nike Bauer (40 plus teams) a couple of weeks ago and also won a tourney in Colorado. Most of the kids are 95 Machine and Blades kids. Probably the best comparison between a good AAA and a ...

0904, Thanks for your thoughts on choosing Machine vs Blades. Also for, in my opinion accurately assessing the difference in coaching/club philosophies between the two teams. Both organizations have many benefits and people will bash both if their kids aren't on those teams. I understand why people ...

I think Coon Rapids. Didn't get much respect two years ago and I think you have a great group of blue collar/rink rats at this age.

Watchdog....any houses for sale up in the great white north? Can I get a job up there too? Even if you are exaggerating, you have a great environment for the development of the kids. The 2 hours open hockey a night, is this open for Bantams or all levels? The six hours on weekend, is the rink open t...

Thanks for the updates. I was at the game as well and I would agree that the play was sloppy and the refs choice of calls was disappointing as well. Bad calls going both ways. Both teams pretty equal. I didn't see the Wayzata coaches shifting lines; it appeared as if it was A,B,C the whole game. So ...

Edina (2 years ago were unbeatable)
Coon Rapids (A bunch of returners...not much respect)
Wayzata (stupid if you don't put them in top five)
Lakeville South (Solid returners)
Roseau (Best of north) and Woodbury ( Solid second year class)

Rock head, I just know that Gerry Anderson is a good coach and is in it for the development of all kids he coaches. As to coaches kids playing more, it happens all the time deserving and not warranted in every sport, this is why you hear the arguments for non parent coaches. Its hard to get a non pa...

Blue Blood...you've made it obvious that your kid(s) are third seat flute players...or decided to go out for chess team as an 9 year old because they were still having problems with the T glide. The poster was asking a very good question, don't belittle his situation.

The best remedy is to bring nothing with you into the lockerroom...car keys only. If you bring anything more, you haven't played enough hockey. Remind your kids to do the same...its that simple. Its the only sure thing. Old farts bring their bags to the bench with them...this works too. Sad but that...
