Totino Grace 3, Armstrong 1.

Shots were 38-14 favoring Armstrong. Including their previous game against Wayzata, Armstrong has outhot their opposition 78-38, but still manages to lose by a combined score of 9-2.

Taking kids all across the state is one of the reasons associations are failing. Maybe if we decide that it is just as good to keep kids nearer to home and play then running to all four corners of the state, the costs would drop and more kids could stay in the sport. JMO... Great point. I go back a...

The reason I asked is it's very rare to transfer after a day or 2 of school without a move. Thanks, I used a day or two just to illustrate - could be a few months which would be more realistic. But the enforcement of the rule wouldn't make any distinction, whenever it is that a girl or her parents ...

In case 2 is a residence change involved? This is purely hypothetical - there is no actual situation that I am inquiring about. I was just trying to understand the new rules better (put into layman's terms) because these real life situations are sure to come up, and depending on the particulars the...

Case 1, for incoming 9th graders you are eligible regardless of the paperwork dates. Thanks for clarifying. Not sure about case 2 but I think it's one year from transfer date. I wish one of the papers or the MSHSL would publish the actual proposal, until then one can only speculate on details. Yes ...

You have to remember, it's OK to transfer for sports only reasons now, as long as you do it in 9th grade, move or spend a year on JV (sit out). Could someone clarify the 9th grade requirement a bit more? As I understand it, you have to be enrolled at your new school before the start of your 9th gra...

I bet there are some unhappy people who run the Schwan's Cup. As I recall they were talking about expanding it for next year but having so many of the top AA teams at Edina is sure to take some of the luster off for Schwan's.

My guess is the rush is to allow those already in the process of transferring the opportunity to do so but to eliminate the usual late summer transfers. xk1, I think you are right on this. Now the big question is, are there any big names that will try to take advantage of the "window of opport...

Hill Murray boasts a good defense but with the exception the 2 games against Tartan they have had scoring troubles all year, they can't count on winning this game one to nothing like they did against Richfield That will be true in their game against BSM as well. IMO they will need to score at least...

Anyone have a moundsview/forestlake score? How was the game? The StarTribune has it as an overtime 1-1 tie. Shots were 40-35 favoring Moundsview - both goalies must have been good. Looked like a 2nd period SH score for FL and then a PP goal with a couple minutes left for MV? I looked at the box sco...

And - Reilly is deeply missed, but it speaks volumes about the depth at BSM for them to persevere with the loss of one of their obvious leaders and one of the all-time best D in the G HS game. Ohio State obviously must agree with your assessment! And what you say about the team's depth is very true...

I'll also go with 3-1 Edina, but no empty netter. You are right - this should be a very good game. Wayzata will be fired up.
