NP
How can this be turned into a negative thing for NP? What a great situation. Mr. Ward can make his own decision's as to where he and his boy's should live. Adult's, especially father's make those decision's as to what is best for their family. Other people looking in can criticize, but come on, it i...

"kid"?
Irrelevant to the coaching situation, but hckykid's prose would lend itself more to an adult making those point's. Is this more deception or just a very well versed "kid"?

Agree with playerfirst. If kid's don't register, they can't pick you. I e-mailed the guy running this about some '93's and he responded very promptly and cordially. He expressed a genuine interest in getting top player's from throughout the state, but those player's need to register. Perhap's this t...

This year's re-alignment quickly turned 1A into a very respectable section. What will be interesting next year is when seeding time comes. Due to contract's, it will be very hard for many of these teams to see eachother during the season. I'm pretty sure Far. or Lourdes will have the most head to he...

Far. beat Como bad, lost to Roch. 4-0 with shot's being even, lost to WBL in OT. Pretty good showing. Read some previous post's written by dabears, (a WBL poster).

Faribault
Congratulation's to Faribault on a nice tournament. There was quite a bit of bad-mouthing on here about both the Faribault team and the district you represented. There is nothing more gratifying then proving someone wrong.

LOST?
I know Bob, he is a great guy, great hockey guy, but how many of the other high school coaches have a kid playing squirt's? Your number game is still way off. You are comparing your population base to the few upper-middle class Metro suburbs. What about the small hockey towns dotted across So. Mn? T...

population
So you are going to tell us that in a state where hockey is a very popular winter sport, there is every bit as good of a chance to get 15 top caliber 8th and 9th grader's in a town of 18,000 as a town of 85,000? This would be quantitative analysis, not opinion and I think you are dead wrong on this ...

How could there not be suspensions if there was a fight? the MSHSL rules are very clear on fighting. Not sure what the Kato kid's would get as their seasons are over, but the New Ulm kid's have another game.

AL 6-1 to start the 3rd. Casey Woodside is having a pretty good post-season.

Dodge Co.
Hockeyrock want's to compare PW team's moving to bantam's and say's that Dodge Co. shouldn't field an A team at any level, when 1 short year ago they had a better A PW team than Roch.'s top team. What do the high school coaches think of 1 A bantam team? (I already know the answer).

Southern region
Faribault will be an interesting team in this year's format. Due to larger then normal number's, they have a large bench (I think 18). The lower end in the talent pool probably would have a hard time competing with the better team's in region's, but they also have quite a few player's (7 or 8) that ...

What is with the comment that you expect this sort of stuff down South? VERY disrespectful and "unsportsmanlike". Kind of the pot calling the kettle black.

bantam's
Faribault does a nice job of proving convincingly that they were the best team in the district this year. They played awesome in the final's. Owatonna scrapped their way to regional's also, good job. Good luck to both team's in Marshall. If Faribault play's the way they did Sun. afternoon, they can ...

Far. 8-1 over Marshall, 3-1 over Mankato
New Prague 8-4 over New Ulm, 3-1 over Owatonna
Mankato beat AL 4-3 and then played Far. very tough. Championship game should be tight with NP and Far. Play in game will also be good, Mankato vs. Owatonna

Seeding's are pretty close to being set, barring FP point's getting in the way. West: Redwood Mankato New Ulm Marshall East: Faribault New Prague Albert Lea Owatonna First roud match-ups should be tight. I think Redwood will have more of a problem with Owatonna than Faribault will with Marshall. Man...

Alot of talk about "class". These are kid's who at times get emotional. I wouldn't say they had "no class". The West coach? Great guy with a ton of class. If both team's win out in section games, they should be 1 and 2. I give AL the # 1 because with the head to head, they took care of business in t...

I agree, it should be a great tourney. I haven't seen RF, so I can't speak for them. I give Far. the edge of the team's I have seen, they have more depth. As stated before, I like the Teske kid; he has played very well in both end's of the rink when I have seen him and he has good speed coming throu...
