As an impartial observer, doesn't the fact that the two teams played give the winning team the right to claim superiority? At least until they play again? You can't go back to last year since the rosters are not the same.

It seems to me that the biggest issue people are having with this is that the good kids will go to the bigger associations to play AA. How likely is that? How easy is it to switch? If there isn't going to be any more movement than there is now, nothing will change. You are still going to have to fig...

Not until you're making that trip to Chicago, or even what is starting to become a watered down tourney, Stars &Stripes. Then I'll give you a nod. Until then . . . Yes. Because what tournaments you go to determines how good of a program you are. The way I see it, the spring/summer season serves...

$380,000 Gross revenue. $400 per game expense. Net $125,000. That doesn't count the $20 tournament pass! Money vs. Brains. Your numbers are not close. There are not 16 teams at 16 levels. There are a total of about 140 teams, not 256. Ice in the Chicago area is upwards of $400/hour so your per game...

2 - 20 minute periods in pool play and then 2 - 15 minute periods for playoff round!!!!!!

Kind of not worth the $1500. Hopefully the competition is good.

I think there are going to be some surprised people when they realize what the format is.

I can't figure out the schedule either. Looks like they assigned colors to teams and only put the actual names in for a few of them. Hopefully this gets updated tomorrow.

Yeah, I'll bet that was random. And Machine got an easy pool. javascript:emoticon('')

Think about the next two years. The Blades will be able to attract kids because of the Brick next year. How many MG players whose parents are willing to spend all that travel money will be discouraged by gas money? If MG loses 3 kids to the Blades then those games next year will not be close. The fo...

Sorry to hear that Biscuit (or glad to hear you saved money?). Is your son on the "regular" Blades team and was bumped off for the Machine players? If not, who does your son play for in the summer?

I guess what I meant by a premier team is brick quality where the Blades will find out what the competition will be like in Edmonton. Stars and Stripes will be a better indicator for them. Bauer Select are top end as far as typical AAA teams go but they lost a couple of players from last year and do...

First post here. Have been following for a while. Provides quality entertainment reading all of these posts. Clarification on the two WI kids. They are not from Hudson. One is from Onalaska and the other from Chippewa Falls. They played with my son on the Flyers team last year. The Onalaska kid is a...
