Re: 6AA/2AA Section Final Coverage
I also thought the penalty shot call in overtime was correct in the Blake/Benilde game and admire the refs for having the guts to make that call in that situation. Clear scoring opportunity taken away from the Blake shooter as he was bearhugged by the Benilde defender in the offensive zone after th...

Re: Jackson Blake
With all of this hand wringing in regard to EP recruiting kids / transfers I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on Lakeville South. You have 3 kids leave Farmington who are currently on the LS Bantam AA and 1 other kid who is a 9th grader who left Farmington for LS varsity. You also have a kid who w...

I was responding to those that said the coach brought them in because there clearly is a line Between simply transferring and being recruited.

Re: Jackson Blake
It’s clear you don’t know how some of those players ended up at LVS. The 4 Farmingtom players have played with LVS kids in the summer for years and decided on their own to transfer because Farmingtom was such a mess under coach Marsh. As for the Apple valley goalie, well he got put on the bantam C ...

Re: Jackson Blake
Only reason JB is part of the conversation is because of all the other players that have gone thru the transfer process and have to do it correctly to get eligible. It doesn't matter if the parents have to separate homes in EP. When he started 9th grade at Shattuck and transferred back to EP in Dec...

JB is not eligible until after Holidays. Only other way is if they appealed to MSHL and somehow were granted immediate eligibility by some other means.

Re: Jackson Blake
Yes, he does have to get eligible to start the season at EP otherwise he would not be able to play varsity until after Holidays. Once he started 9th grade at shattuck going back to EP is a transfer. To be eligible before Holidays family would have to move out of EP school district, or if parents are...

Re: Moving to Minnesota for HS Hockey
Thanks for clarifying I agree with Scout that it's very well run.....and attended. Their budget is "a little bigger" than the budget of the local associations that are run by a group of volunteers My issue with these tournaments (this and the brick) is that it's a coach to win tournament ...

Re: Moving to Minnesota for HS Hockey
Doc Holiday I think MNMade does an excellent job in early development.Their choice Mite league in really good for kids starting out. Plus it takes the pressure of associations who are already hurting for ice time. Most associations pile 40-50 mites on the ice for 45 minutes of babysitting. The trai...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
With Elite League tryouts same weekend as Edina tournament not sure if you will see GE or a number of other BSM returners. I've always wondered why they can't figure out how to avoid that? Selects 15 National Camp is 15-20th so there will be BSM kids missing for that as well. Seems like they should...

Dave is as good a goalie coach you will find anywhere. If your son/daughter gets the chance to work with him, do it!

It's BSM Goalie going back to Orono? Could be? They'd have to claim financial hardship to transfer back though I would think (which I would think would be hard considering they're loaded). Also, he's already experiencing hip or knee issues from overuse according to my source. He and his father were...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Goalies in general commit at older age typically while playing Junior, it has nothing to do with MN HS Hockey.
