Great game. 1-1 with 10 minutes left in 3rd when Blaine scored on PP. ER had 4 open nets and missed them all. Too much Swedish, not enough Finish. Blaine got a EN to finish it. ER played well and coulda, shoulda wonMaple Grove Crimson#1 wrote:Blaine -3

Scrimmages 11/19 update
Elk River is holding their annual scrimmages on Saturday the 19th. The same teams have been playing in this for a few years. Elk River, Osseo, White Bear Lake and Holy Angels. It's free to watch and the ER Blueline club does a nice job feeding all the players. Times: 10:00 AM – HA v. WB 11:15 AM – E...

The World Junior A Challenge is taking place last weekend and next weekend. My guess is Waterloo brought him in as a replacement for AJ Michaelson or one of the three players from Waterloo participating in the tournament. There are 22 roster spots that were filled last weekend with other players. An...

Re: Holiday hockey tourneys
EP will also be playing in the Benilde/St. Louis Park tourney. Do not know the other teams, other than host BSM. Pretty certain on these five: Centennial, Moorhead, Jefferson, Wayzata, Maple Grove The last one escapes me. Here are the teams: EP, BSM, Centeenial, Moorhead, Jefferson, Wayzata, Elk Ri...

I would add Maple Grove to the mix near the top. Elk River will be a good team--they have a very experienced goalie and their bantams did very well last year--but I suspect even their supporters would say top-5, or even top-10, would be a bit lofty at this point. They didn't have a whole lot of fir...

Re: Elite League Goalie Experiment: FAIL?
I thought it was silly when the UMHSEL announced their plan to "rotate" 9 goalies among the8 teams (to supposedly give them more exposure). They said at the time that Minnesota hasn't produced enough elite level goalies, and this was somehow supposed to address that. But looking at the st...

As for predictions, I'll go East 3 G Rock 2 Saturday, It was about 3/5's packed. Thursday, it will be completely packed. Not even close to 3/5 packed. If I do my math correct...
