Chaska vs. Tonka

Final from Pagel: Tonka - 4 Chaska - 3 Former Hawk Anthony Raiola scores the game winner on the Power Play with 55 seconds to go in the game. Minnetonka kills off a 6 v 4 advantage for the last 45 seconds. Chaska nearly scored the equalizer with about 15 seconds to go, but I think the shot went wide...

ER

Elk River flying under the radar is an understatement. With that good of a team, how come they don't play in any top tournaments like WBL, Edina, Bloomington, Duluth, Moorhead, Rochester, or Grand Rapids where all of the other top teams play. Instead they go to a D4 tournament in Waseca(?) and mop u...

Chaska vs. Tonka

Chaska returns to the Pagel Center after last year's miracle win by Tonka in the sections.

Chaska is looking tough in the early season. Can they keep it up tomorrow night?

Bantam B1 Updates

Thanks for the D3 roundup SPS! I look forward to your D10 analysis of teams such as Elk River, Champlin Park and Chisago Lakes, who I hear is having a good season. Edina is a quality tournament, but the Midwest Regional has some good BB1 teams this year with 3 very competitive pools: Red Pool Blaine...

For the most part these are pretty good with the exception of Moorhead Black and Hermantown. Personally, I would have Woodury much higher and Elk River lower.

Other worthy teams include:

Wayzata Gold. Lakeville South, Champlin Park and Minnetonka

Great work Pioneer. Keep those weekly rankings coming!

For all you D10 teams: watch out for Princeton. They have a tremendous first line who knows how to score goals.....

Edina vs. Tonka

From the Pagel Center:

#1 Edina White - 3
Tonka - 2

Tonka outshoots the Hornets 28-23 but comes up on the short end. That's Tonka's third 3-2 loss in their last 4 games (Wayzata Blue, Chaska and Edina White).

Hey, EagleGuy, Tonka and your team need to go shopping together to buy some goals!

BB1 Blog

No offense to HockeyGuru#6, but let's keep this topic alive until the end of the year. Hey Lee, with 278 replies and 15400+ views on this topic, can we get this topic as a sticky?

On another note, Tonka gets the next shot at the #1 Green (& White machine) on Thursday at Pagel.

Chaska vs. Tonka

Chaska outshot Tonka but Tonka's goalie played well. Tonka had a breakaway with 4 minutes to go that could have tied the score.

EP Black

Black has played all the "good teams" because the coaches at this level know EagleGuy. He is a great coach who will put together a quality club.

In the past EP only had 1 bantam B1 team. EP Red is new to the scene and doens't have the reputation (and following!) that EagleGuy has.

SPS

Maybe the "fist pump" was by the dad of the kid who scored with 1 second left in the second period to tie the game 2-2. Maybe it was the dad of the goalie who stopped many shots on the 5 on 3. Parents get excited at games, they're supposed to. I didn't say the Tonka parents weren't loud. The Wayzata...

Tonka

Yes the Tonka parents were loud in the 3rd place game, but they did not taunt the Wayzata parents. Come on SPS!

I was standing right between both groups and actually talked to the other dads during the game.

If that was a D6 game, BOTH teams would have had 10+ penalties.
