As an example: I would say in Edina versus Duluth East at the State Tourney, Edina would have the "home advantage." So, according to your logic, it's okay for metro teams to have home ice advantage in the state tourney, but it's not okay for an outstate team to have an advantage in the 7AA p...

Would you consider it home ice advantage for Elk River if the 7AA final was played at an arena in Otsego? Yes I would. I wouldn't. Home ice advantage is playing at the arena you normally play your home games at. Home advantage contitutes more than a picture of your mascot on the wall. Now pay atten...

What's up in Woodbury. I heard that some of the top PeeWees aren't even trying out for the AA team because of "issues" with the coach.

Perfectly stated jancze5. And slyer yes, Rapids lost a bad game in the quarters, but who has more state titles between Rapids and Elk River? Who has more recently been to state? Irregardless of your pathetic whining, the 7AA semis and final are remaining at Amsoil Arena for the foreseeable future. ...

Re: The Real Season
I can't tell you how happy I am that summer hockey is over so we don't have to hear about that nonsense anymore! Bring on association hockey! Couldn't agree more, it's always a breath of fresh air to see homegrown players committed to their community and the kids they have grown up with working har...

Re: Northern Educate Hockey Academy
Will be based inside (yes, inside) of Eagan's rink and play in Section 4A of the Minnesota State High School League. Thoughts? From their website: Northern Educate Hockey Academy employs a hybrid model where licensed teachers and tutors in our classrooms at the rink guide students through a public ...

The point system is odd: 6 points for a win 3 points for a tie 2 points for winning a period (total of 6 points) 1 point for a tied period 1 point for fewest penalties 1 point for a shut-out (I think that's it) You gotta just win your games, the 6 points is giant. I'm pretty sure they want to avoid...

From perusing the content of the board lately, I've drawn the following conclusions: 1. the Elite League doesn't know what it's doing 2. private schools are player-stealing hockey factories 3. large public schools are player-stealing hockey factories 4. small public schools aren't worth paying atte...

The only province that they have no checking in pee wees in Canada is Quebec. Do you think kids that were not allowed to tackle in Wayzata in 6-8 grades would be behind kids in EP that were allowed to tackle in football by the time they got to HS? Why don't we safeguard every sport and have no tack...

When is the last time anything worked out in Loserville USA? Garnett? Moss? Favre? Mauer? Morneau? :( I'd love to see Parise and Suter change our fly-over state... tons of young talent coming, best (and most hockey smart!) fans south of Toronto. It would be beautiful, but most likely a bit out-of-r...
