High School is right time to start with specialty units. I agree. The only time I encourage seeing a coach short shift a player, whether it be PP / PK / regular shift, is with one shift left in the game and the outcome is still in question (+/- 1 goal). At that point, you should go for the win, but...

Re: Grand Rapid at Forest Lake

Both teams dominated in opening night victories. Rapids was without Jake and Jonah Bischoff as well as elite league defensemen David Horsmann. Hunter Shepard lived up to the hype as an elite goalie with a shutout. Grand Rapids will go into Forest Lake with revenge on their minds. The Rangers lost t...

Good concept, horrible implementation. These AA vs. A games are ridiculous. Can't wait to see how the tourney's end up shaking out. Could be on par with Benghazi. One of the more warped comparisons in the history of this board Have you seen any of these? Not as far-fetched as it may seem. (sarcasm ...

JSR, that's light compared to what we have. 9 teams in a very solid AA league for Squirts. 1) our home rink, which nobody lives near 2) an hour, 60 miles on highway 3) two hours 4) 2 1/2 5) 2:45 6) 3:20 7) 3:30 8) 3:40 9) 4:15 Our ADM rep described the same thing for his son in Ohio. Re: Who are the best 1999 born hockey players in Minnesota

There are too many good 99's to count in the State. You could form 2 or even 3 elite level teams from the metro area with a few kids from up north and compete anywhere. Lakeville and Edina probably have the highest concentration of top 99's between the Machine and Blades, but Maple Grove, Prior Lak...

I thought is was weird at first. We played CL and it was 3-0. Good game. We never could play our freinds to north before. It was fun and competive. How would a game go between Forest Lake's 1-16 and Forest Lake's 17-32? Would it be a good thing? Do they do this in the football program and then play...
