Says in hockey hub article Johnson is 1st mn Sophomore to commit to d-1 program since Ben Marshall, what about Osterberg from Lakeville South? He would have been soph this year and he committed to UMD as well last fall, also Brady Sjkei from Lakeville North commited to U at end of his soph year last...

I appreciate the responses. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy! Watched him play 10+ times in hs and watched him play 4 or 5 times in USHL and thought he was excellent and would contribute right away. Its too bad, wonder if he is second guessing his decision to go play for the Don? Maybe he sho...

Whats the word on Waterloo? no agenda just curious what I don't know? I would love to see him come back. I think either way before he goes to college he is going to play a year of juniors to adjust to the college game in a way. He should stay for the run Lakeville South can put together for state. ...

Nate Schmidt

May sound like a dumb question, but anyone know what the deal with Nate Schmidt was this year? Seems like not only did he see limited playing time at the U, but the few games he did play in, he played quite a bit of forward. I wouldn't say he is undersized at 6'0" 200lbs, he was a stud in HS (grante...

I personally don't believe they suprised anyone, as they have had a ton of success as pee wees and bantams and I would have to believe that if their key players don't leave they would have to be pre season favorite to win AA title.

The burnsville group from the mid 80's has to be considered one of the best ever. The majority of their success came from the class of 86 who won it in 85, and 86. The majority of them played football too and won a prep bowl in the fall of 84 and finished runner up to Stillwater in the prep bowl in ...

Definitely depends on who comes back. If Kloos and Michaelson return, they are the front runners, the entire top line from DE with Randolph, Tominato, and Olson are good candidates too.

Would be great for him to come back as he could give Lakeville South the advantage in 1AA. Would have to agree on that one. He scored the GW last night vs Green Bay. He's gonna be a great pick up for a WCHA team. Good to see he is already making an impact, this show he can play with the big boys an...

Kloos to Waterloo

I see Lakeville South Jr scoring phenom Justin Kloos is now with the Waterloo Blackhawks of the USHL. Have a hard time believing he will be back playing HS next year. Too bad as he is an incredible young talent. Any thoughts on him coming back to play HS??

I have to belive this EP group is top 5 (possibly top 3) all time. Great group of kids, stuck together, won a lot of championships...The BJ group though was best ever. Hands down, from the Pee Wee, Bantam and 3 HS titles, and all the d-1 signees. Btw, does EP have anyone other than Rau and Seeler w...

I would think the Burnsville run they had from 83-87 was one of the best ever. The group that won it in 85, 86 and then was runner up in 87 was pretty damn good! Not sure if they won any state titles in pee wees or bantams, but those guys could play.

Have a hard time believing MG would have done better than Blaine. 6 appearnaces in a row is something to be proud of. Aus is a solid coach (a little over confident at times), but Blaine has a hell of a program and think their best years are ahead of them with their youth program.
