There were more than 7500 people there last night. Based on the number of people who just came for 1 of the 2 games I would estimate over 9k tickets sold easy.

Nice showing by Benilde considering they didnt bring 4 of their top players and goalie. I to hope Marshall gives DE and GR a run.

BSM down this year with the loss of huge senior class. It will take them some time to get some chemistry with lots of new faces but they will get better as season moves along. Also, dont pay much attention to these summer scores, there was plenty of players not in lineup. There is lots of young tale...

JGA beating a top 20 AA school no chance. The speed and depth of the AA team would be to much for a JGA team to handle. I have seen both Edina and Wayzata JGA teams play this season, no chance sorry. Running time by 2nd period.

There is no way the top Junior Gold A teams could beat many AA HS teams. Actually they would get crushed by the majority of the HS AA teams. JGA hockey is fun and it lets kids enjoy hockey at a competitive level and stay in the game.

I agree regarding ZH. The best hockey article written his senior year was about ZH being the true Mr Hockey. That article says all you need to know about ZH as a person.

It happens sometimes the best bantam players dont turn out to be the best players as they move on in their hockey careers. Colby is a great school and strong program and he should be very proud and so should his family thats exactly why the private school comment was not nessasary. Instead you take ...

A high % of the youth system are already in private schools. One mpls rep told me as high as 60-70% of the youth system are in private schools. Mpls program getting better but with high numbers leaving (and will continue) cant expect to much although Hale will help for next few years. To bad Todd Ha...

Lets not forget Wayzata lost 7-0 to St Thomas academy and also have other questionable games this season. Yes they have played well past couple games but they have many holes in their game.

Give credit to Hanson on keeping Tonka in the game. Benilde was the better team last night. When Benilde gets 2nd and 3rd lines scoring like last night they are difficult to beat.

Benilde- I dont see them coming back to the pack but doesnt mean that they are invincible either. They seem to play to the competition level almost look bored when not playing another top 10 team. Tomorrow against Tonka will be great game. Farmington- very dangerous team, very physical, strong D, an...

I agree that Blaine has not been playing great hockey past 2 weeks. They rely upon the Tufte line way to much so when he is not clicking team has tough time scoring. Tufte was sick against HM and they struggle for example. With all teams operating at 100% I see Blaine as 3rd best team right now.
