Re: Cade Gleekel
I see that BSM's Cade Gleekel scored a hat trick this evening against Bloomington Jefferson in their 6-3 win, and also note that he is Benilde's leading scorer with 38 points on the season. Yet according to the Hub he is not listed as "committed" to any D1 program, and just wondering why? Obviously...

Yes, understand your point and thats the odds on consensus way of looking at it right now, with good logic for that view, no denying that. I keep getting hung up by fact that Noterman has in the past and will probably again equal or beat him in scoring during regular season, just before the votes a...

But no titles.... which is kind of my point. It's not quite so easy... especially in a "one and done" tournament in which a hot goalie can steal a game against a superior opponent. Yes, it is the ultimate goal but it isn't like these teams go through Best of 5 or Best of 7 series to get the title (...

When you're 25 years old it's past time to move on and get your life underway. You should no longer be an undergrad in college going to school with 18 year olds. If you're still living the dream of making it in the NHL you should be living it in the minor leagues, which would be better preparation ...

Duluth Marshall @ Roseau
Back north for Christmas I decided to catch this game today. Roseau is up 3-0 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd. I'm really surprised.actually. I thought with Roseau being down a little this year and Duluth Marshall beating East this year it would be different. Rams are getting outshot 18-13 but the ga...

Its a good rule of you're a B10 team who can't compete with schools from other conferences....You have to be blind to see this as anything other than big school with big name cache trying to slant the ice even more in their favor. On the one hand you say the B1G schools "can't compete" but then you...

If you can't beat 'em, change the rules and cite it as a safety issue. This has been a problem in college hockey for 40 years. Many of you are too young to remember, but there was a time Denver and the Gophers often shared the WCHA title but didn't play each other because of fighting about age of p...

As stated in a few articles, I think this is obviously a ploy by the Big Ten to tilt the field in their favor. They haven't seen success against other conferences all that much besides the WCHA. None of the B10 schools said anything about these rules before the creation of the conference. Change the...

Re: AA Top 15
$5 isn't much at all. Maybe Bemidji should schedule Edina, Breck, Minnetonka, St. Thomas Academy, Stillwater twice, Lakeville North, Wayzata, Prior Lake and Grand Rapids and I'd give them more respect. Oh well they do play grand rapids, hermantown and hill murray but that is all i see. Glad your Ed...

Hermantown defenseman Wyatt Aamodt has 4 points in 3 games against quality teams. He had 32 points last year so those numbers will likely improve. I see him being a finalist but I cant remember the last time a defenseman won this award. 2009 Nick Leddy? 6 years is a long time.... The award has a hi...

Re: EGF Coaching
Makes you wonder how bare the cupboards will be at EGF? At first glance Scott Oliver would seem the logical choice if he wants the job. That said, Financial planning must be pretty good in EGF; or no goal tending and one returning d might add to changing priorities. Financial planning is a tough li...

Re: NHL Draft
Was very surprised to not see any topics on this subject today. A lot of American kids taken in the first round........... only one skater from MN as expected........ Most of the mock drafts and rankings I saw expected two skaters to go, including Paul Bittner from Crookston. I was very surprised h...

Warrior, Elliott, Others.... You guys that know most about Bittner....... Will we see him in a NHL uniform next fall , and how much will he be making in first year? I don't know a whole lot about Bittner actually. I just have a friend who coached in a summer league after Bittners freshman year and ...

It looks like Jared Bethune dropped off the list completely. He was ranked 101 in the mid season rankings but I don't see his name on this one. It would appear going to the WHL didn't work out this time, unless I'm just missing something. I overheard two scouts talking in Grand Rapids, and they fel...

Re: Oh, wait...
It sure is lucky Tyus' parents had enough foresight to transfer him to a private school to help his development. Oh, wait... Rather than letting him languish at a wrestling school, at least they sublet an apartment at in the Hopkins school district, so he'd get noticed. Oh, wait... Being that Minne...
