WHAT?
Dont give me the Iceman in with the Machine and Blades. THe Lake Superior Stars 98 destroyed the Iceman. Without a doubt the Machine is the top 98 followed by the Blades, LSS, Stealth, Synergy, then the Iceman. After those it is really watered down. In fact I would say those are the AAA teams and ev...

problem
This program has been in trouble for the last 5-6 years, long before the new rule. The fact is if you offer a GREAT opportunity to play the numbers would be just fine. The new rule just took the control away from the people that work harder at not allowing kids to enjoy the game as it is everywhere ...

7-2 Final 98 LSS over Thunder Bay 98's
This was a great game as TB came out and scored first and took that lead into the dressing room leading 1-0. Stars came out slow and looked a little tired from playing 5 games at that point and TB playing just 3. In the second the coaches must have motivated the Stars as they put up 5 in the second ...

LSS do not have any Blades players
Lindberg and Koehn are both adds that have been with the stars all year. This season is the first AAA hockey for both of them and they were added to fill 2 openings. There are no rental players or Blades on the stars.

IT IS SIMPLE
Hockeydad41 nailed it. This rule is VERY simple and you do have a choice. Play where you live or play where you go to school. IF you want to play where you live choose that and do it for your careeer. If you want to play where you go to school do it and your there for your career. This year you have...

This isnt that hard
This rule is along time coming and not that complicated. If you want to play where you live you have that ability, just elect to stay where you play now or for new kids register where you live. If you want to play with classmates register where you go to school. Fact is from this point on you will b...

THIS IS A GREAT RULE
This has been along time coming. We live in a rural area and happen to live in a dying school with a dead program. I have open enrolled my kids to do whats best for their education and there is NO WAY that they will ever play for this school down the road. They refuse to grant waivers out if you att...

hmmmm
This is a great change to what has become nothing more than a power struggle in our association. We have a old boy network that does NOTHING to help the kids just what is easiest. They are the ones that drove the program into the ground in the name of keeping every kid the same. No program should be...

not even close
The blades and the machine are the top two with the lss right behind. The mix was not close to the lss as the stars only gave up 7 shots that game and 5 went in. 2 goals were legit and the other three were the result of a very off day for the tender. shots that game were 5 to 1 and the stars had con...

Greenways last chance
you are right Jeff will only be aloud to take the program as far a Pat Guyer would like. Greenway has died under the decisions of Pat and his group of buddies. The only chance this program has is to have Pat do his job and schedule practice, clean the arena, and actually start doing the role of rec ...

wow you people are out there
Yes the Jr. Badgers added a few kids to the team to fill open spots and those kids were from the metro and northern mn. A few kids play for the blades and the jr. badgers and they picked up 3 from the lake superior stars, so what? Its a weekend of hockey and thats it not a world championship. As far...

NOT SO FAST
You make it sound like all associations are on board and have an A (maybe 2) a B and then C. Well thats not so. Heck our asssociation thins we should have no division of talent and have 4 even squirt teams and stay home and play house with only 1 practice a week and no coaching. They feel its good e...

Greenway meeting to cancel Bantams again but its a secret
What is going on with our frends to the east? I spoke with a buddy who told me they are planning to ask the parents if the want to play bantams or jv again this year. Why dont they just use the same logic for the school district and move the juniors up to seniors and they can double the size of thei...

Hibbing and Greenway do split somewhat even but not totally. If they made A's (which they could be very good looking at the strenght of there B teams) there would be no less than 12 teams within an hours drive. play them all 2 times and thats 24 games add acouple tourny and your there. It just doesn...

What do you do if you live in northern minnesota and your program offers a very competative squirt A and its is going great for them but your 3 squirt b teams who are competative with most other b teams but 2 neighboring programs (Greenway and Hibbing) dont have squirt a's so they can have winning b...

standardize
Either standardize a propgram or allow transfers to programs that offer the appropriate program. Every Assoc carry a Squirt A, Peewee A, Bantam A and then adjust B teams and multiple A teams by a set program number. There is no need to have a association play god and eliminate a HOCKEY experience fr...

Elliott, i agree with you that its not perfect and we have to be flexible. What im looking for is some form of consistency at the state level. MN Hockey should mandate that all associations try to operate on the same level. There are going to be tough years for almost every program in the state but ...

Gotta be a solution
How is it that both MN Hockey and USA Hockey both state that the best model for development is from like skilled kids playing together, but then they allow local associations to vary on what levels of play to offer. A simple solution would be to mandate that every association field an A team at each...
