Re: Northern Educate/Achiever Acadamey buys Vadnais Complex

If NE financing is secured and deal closes in 45 days look for NE enrollment to boom next year with a real home rink and a long term commitment by NE. I wonder how that effects the Hockey teams from White Bear HS? To heck with WBL teams--the bigger worry is what's going to happen to Sak's... Nothin...

Women National team

Congratulations to Hannah Brandt for making the US Women’s National team final roster for the 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship, which runs from April 7-14 in Burlington, Vt. This is truly a great accomplishment given the level of talent competing. Hannah is the you...

If this year is like every other year the seeds have already been determined and this weeks games mean nothing. I see the order going #1 Hill, #2 RV, # 3 WBL, #4 SW, #5 CDH Still think Roseville is the best team and WBL, Stillwater are clearly a pickum. However that 3-4 seed will again be concerning...

For those who would like a break from this riveting speculation 8) ... below is a link to a wonderful piece done by the MN Wild regarding Ms Brandt. For those of us who have had the pleasure of witnessing this extraordinary young lady grow into not only the player she is, but the person she is… will...

First... not good to call out players by name...bad posters...bad. They are only children and this is only your opinion. With that said I could not agree more in reference with the role parents should play in regards to the conduct of their sons and daughters. My daughter played for a couple of team...

"How have the MN Girls and the overall action been?"

I heard that Hannah Brandt took her game to the next level with a three goal, four point outing in last nights game. Nice job kid!

Since there is really no information to be found on either the Hub or the MH web sites…anyone care to give a recap of the weekend. What teams…players looked good, etc?

That would be a reason not to do Junior Fest. These girls still have the opportunity to make it to the National camp and then possibly the Under 18 team.

On another note…does anyone know how the roster was determined for the NIT? Furthermore…was one of the requirements that you had to be a senior?

Experience has shown to me that in the end… playing with boys does not necessarily give those players any real advantage in the development of skills over those who played exclusively with girls… Quality instruction, strong competition, athletic ability and the player’s desire to excel is a far grea...

This truly is a year where seeding may be irrelevant. Look at Section 4 AA… any of the top 4 teams could have claimed the top seed. Case in point... the 4th seed won and no one could in all sincerity say it was an upset. This year...hands down... Tonka and Edina are clearly the teams to beat. So if ...

Congrats to Roseville and Hill Murray…well deserved hard fought victories. Either team will represent the Section well. In the Hill, WBL game Mckeever once again came up big for the Pioneers (she has made a habit of doing so against the Bears). That was the deference in my opinion. Seasoned, confide...

It can be a mystery. I can see the officials not seeing all of the assists. That goes without saying. But your right I've seen where the officials call it… the scorekeeper records it... the announcer announces it...the paper posts it…and the hub tallies it. Then two days later it gone….poof…never ha...
