Another question is how did UMD let this player from their own backyard slip through the cracks? sandelin spends too much time up in camrose to care about kids in his ownback yard, its only recently that he looked to duluth or area kids and thought they could play...derek in a sioux uniform is goin...

How do the Gophers keep letting these kind of players slip through the cracks? Big kids who move well and have cannons aren't a dime a dozen. Re: Good Laugh
Good entertainment! Russia doesn`t encourage players to leave for the NHL let alone the Minnesota High School league. Might have been more believable if you had picked another country. Got a good response though! or for that matter another team a great april fools joke no doubt, only one exchange s...

Congrats Derek, For those interested. I have spoken to a number of NHL scouts about Forbert and they all say GREAT things about him and expect him (barring injury and something freakish happening) that he may well be drafted in the top 10 in the NHL Entry Draft come his draft year. I thought this w...

Re: Berkley
Berkley was never "academically ineligible"...what happened was mid-quarters came out, the coaches weren't happy with his progress to date and to get his atttention, they sat him against Maple Grove and North Metro (Thursday & Saturday games) which Anoka still won. No further issues o...

It would appear no penalty is involved because it's a physical move. I had no idea who this kid was until I did some Google work. Decent stats from last season, hopefully he can make a strong contribution to the Hounds this season. By the way, DC?? Couldn't get out of Duluth fast enough post-gradua...

Re: Berkley
I heard early in the season he missed 2 weeks due to academic inelligability, not sure if its true. The kid has amazing talent and I know he's had some D-3 offers and probobly D-1 offers. As long as he gets his grades up you'll see this kid playing D-1 hockey someday. Berkley was never "academ...

Because he's moving, does he not have to sit out half the season? Or am I just confused? Anyone else with more info on him? It would appear no penalty is involved because it's a physical move. Re: Rebuilding Year
Even with the addition of Trent Klatt look for the Thunderhawks to have a rebuilding year with the sophmore group. There just is not enough depth at the junior and senior level with enough seasoned Varsity experience that can carry the team. The sophmores have a good group but they need a full year...

Re: More info
Boblee please give us a little more info n this game. I can't ever make this weekends games because of a skating competition at the arena. Re: 7aa
This section certainly won't be what it was 2-3 years ago. East should be the favorite again I suppose considering the star power Cloquet lost. Grand Rapids should have the best goalie and group of defensemen in 7AA, but will their youth at forward emerge enough by sections? The teams down south I ...

Jokinen?
Anybody know if and where Jokinen ended up? Did he go to NHL combine and what happened? Don't see him anywhere yet on draft list.

I'm assuming Dog Log is talking about Corey Leivermann, senior forward from Mankato West. He finished the regular season 5th in the state in scoring with 71 points (39g, 32a). Corey also had a very good state tournament with 3 goals and 3 assists. glad for the kid, but what makes me chuckle is stat...

Wow, not even picked up by a USHL team?! I'm sure he'll find a place to play eventually. SCSU needs a third stringer, but I'm sure Joe would rather find a place where he has an opportunity to start and prove himself. EDIT: Okay Joe, if you're going to tryout for a USHL team as a free agent, avoid.....
