The East-Centennial game is mid-week, and WBL and Blaine, which I neglected to mention in the last post, are on Fridays. However, I asked around a bit and found out Randolph didn't want them on TV this year. I'm not sure I completely understand why, though it could be a reaction to the Buffalo game ...

There is simply no tangible benefit for East if they play Marshall. The schedule is full enough already. As to which team is better, it doesn't really matter, since they are in different levels and will never play. The only measuring stick we have is how much they beat up on the other Duluth schools...

I can understand why an all-northern game might not be apealling to the rest of the state, but I don't see why they can't televise some of the games between northern and metro teams. WBL, Centennial, Wayzata, Apple Valley, and Edina all come visit Duluth East at some point this season. I'm sure Gran...

Flaherty will be missed, certainly, but if memory serves he scored one goal after January 1 last year. While he was good, he's much more replaceable than Johnson from Cloquet or White from Rapids. East's biggest asset, by far, is its incredible depth. Playing the crazy schedule that they have also m...

The lack of northern teams is extremely disappointing. You'd think they'd like to show teams people in the metro area don't get to see much, especially when some of them make trips up north. Obviously I'm biased, but I think it's horrible that Duluth East, which plays such an impressively difficult ...

1. East Yes, they all lost talent, but East lost the least and there wasn't exactly an obvious talent gap between East and Rapids last year. The brutal schedule will prepare them for another run at the top. Having the section playoffs in their home arena doens't hurt either. 2. CEC The stars may be ...

Section 7AA
7AA is pretty wide open. Of the 3 best teams (Rapids, East, Cloquet), all lost very good goalies and several key goal-scorers, but East has lost the least on paper and probably played Rapids better than anyone last year during their playoff/state run, aside from Roseau, of course. But they still hav...
