Anyone know where I can find a composite Playoff Bracket for A and AA. It used to be done by someone every year. Maybe it still is....

article

I enjoyed the article too. Has one persons point of view from a couple different angles. I find the talk on the WHL interesting. There are currently 10 players from Minnesota, by my count, that are Minnesota natives. The league has from ages '94-'98's in it. That's a an average of less then one play...

Favorite T.S. moment

I don't know what happened. Frankly, I don't care. As an outsider who follows hockey I know Tony was/is a good coach. I'll tell you my favorite moment and what I'll remember most.... FSN was broadcasting a HS game in which Tony did the pre-game interview. Brandon Martell, a former Sarsland player, w...

As earlier stated, HS students cannot partake in Junior practices or they lose eligibility in the season. Some players skate with Junior teams prior to the season, (affiliate list players usually do this, Brodzinski, Trevor Olson, J. Gross, etc. all did this this year). High school players may also ...

When the Elite League originally started it did not charge for people to attend the games. Since then, the league has gotten bigger and better. However, look at the money as well... Started tryouts and charging. (if 110 is correct as earlier posted, they make a good chunk of money on the tryouts) St...

MN

If I have ever been certain of one thing it is this... USHL teams are not intentionally bypassing on Minnesota HS players because they are trying to force the state into Midget AAA hockey. Every Junior team wants the best players. They go where those players are and are willing to come and play for ...

Good Laugh

Good entertainment!

Russia doesn`t encourage players to leave for the NHL let alone the Minnesota High School league. Might have been more believable if you had picked another country.

Got a good response though!

Scouts

What makes it good are the scouts that attend. If you list them instead of saying numerous scouts that would help your cause. Until then, everyone will assume you are just trying to make money on the deal.

OK.... I dont see ever how Junior is a bad option for a kid. School will always be there. If he plays one year and doesn`t like it, or doesn`t think he improved enough, he can always go to school. The NH Monarchs have a good reputation. Unfortunately it does cost money to go and play there and I am ...

The reason I think it benefits the player to stay is that it makes it more difficult for the NHL to evaluate your talent. If Aaron Ness was in the USHL last year his flaws would stand out more, much like they do in college for him this year. Since the league is better it is also easier to evaluate t...

I think we can still say they are better then Rochester. If you go off of the record, the Ice Hawks are not even in the top four or five in the Minnesota League this year.

But that is just going by their record.

Shocked

I think the bulk of the reason that you believe Junior is a waste is lack of knowledge. 214 players from Minnesota played Division I hockey according to a report put out in Dec. of 06'. The link to the article is below. If you divide that by four years of school you get a little over 50 players/ gra...

Very impressive numbers. I think a big difference about the kids not playing Juniors is that they play DIII instead of going to Junior, whereas most other players will give Junior a shot before going to a DIII school. Some of those 14-16 DIII players might have been DI if they would have spent that ...

I think it's true that we have to wait before we can say bad things, but using history as a guide... these leagues rarely last more then two or three years and usually lose people a great deal of money.

A "Tier I" status is issued by USA Hockey for meeting criteria. If this league is independent, then it is saying it is not being sanctioned by USA Hockey and therefore declaring themselves Tier I to attract players. Also because it is not sanctioned it wont be insured by USA Hockey and the...

There has been numerous debates regarding this in the past. Here is and excert from an article I found. "There are approximately 250 major junior graduates in the NHL, which is impressive until you figure out that means an average of four players from each of the 60 CHL teams and, when you spre...

I think this should be a pretty clear indication of what the team has done recently. Say what you will but that list (even though about three of those kids aren't playing anymore) is what that league is about. Moving kids on and Rochester appears to have done a great job at that.

Crash,

It seems like you are pretty in tune with the Ice Hawks. Could you post a list of players currently on a roster at a higher level. I think after people see this they will have a better idea of what you are talking about.
