I'll take the Jags 4-2, I think after the St. Louis Park tourney they have learned they need to stay out of the box and move the puck better. I don't think they will lose at BIG.

The missing 2 guys on defense wouldn't make a difference unless it was Faust or Pauluk. They play the majority of the game, the other guys are basically out only when they need a breather. They logged massive time last night.

This should be a great game to watch. These teams have always matched up well since these guys were squirts, so it should be a close one. I think the first period will be crucial, whoever comes out ready to play from the drop of the puck will win. I'll take the Jags by one.

Any idea what section is at what time? Is 2AA the early or later game? Or do they wait until after Thursday's games to slot the teams?

Jefferson has a long tradition of playing some of the non-conference teams that it does. It would be hard to dump them because one year they are down a bit. A couple of years ago Jefferson was down also, so it goes both ways. It is unfortunate that this year's team as good as they are didn't match u...

EV did not show up for this game at all, they looked terrible. Friedman wasn't playing so that made it worse. Is he hurt?

Did Leddy get a slash that didn't get called? Was it a cheap shot?

I agree Hondemon, they shouldn't have called that last one. They also let Herbert get away with one when he crushed #11 I think it was late in the game.

Jefferson had a 5 on 3 going into ot so it was pretty tough for the spuds to overcome that. Refs called a penalty with a few seconds left in the third period that I think they should have not called since the spuds were already down one. The last minute of play in regulation was very exciting, the s...

Thanks Karl that is a lot of info, you are right unless there are some big upsets that will be one tough meeting. It may come down to personalities, liking one coach/program more than another.

How do they decide the seeds? I know the coaches get together and hash it out but how much does strength of schedule help a team get a better seed? How many top ten teams has Edina played and how many have Jefferson and AHA played? Is there a concrete formula they use or not?

Theoneandonly do you think the jags are picking up bad habits because of games like this or willl they be able to get to the reality of better teams and goalies when they hit sections with no problem?

It looks like Chaska went through 3 goalies and none of them actually faced a lot of shots. Were the goalies just having a bad day or were the jags shots all really high quality?

Looking at Jefferson's upcoming schedule, I think it is pretty safe to say the score will be 5-10 for Jefferson and 0-2 for the other team in most of the games. I hope Moorehead can come to town and give them a fight and the next game against EP should be good.
