Well, it is not obvious to see Randolph saddened by losing Forbort. But its more then that. It bitterness, anger etc. I can understand Randolph's frustration, but Randolph should have offered some support for Forbort in the future. It is very obvious that he won't give Forbort one ounce of attentio...

There are plenty of players that are small and have found success in the NHL. Whether Ness will be one of them? I don't know. But I do know that he is one of the quickest and smartest defenseman that I have seen in a while. I agree he will most likely be a mainstay on the powerplay for some team thr...

Is there a box score from either night in the Duluth Paper? Anybody know who scored or played well on either night?

I'm pretty sure Nick Leddy has better things to do than posting here to give himself praise. He's already gotten it from most people.

A little off topic but Dano Jacques who graduated from DM last year had made it to the state tournament either 7 or 8 ( can't remember exactly) years in a row.. Anyone else know of any kids who have had a run like that? Making it seven years in a row would mean he made it as a sixth grader. Lee Pee...

I'm hoping that this game stays close. Everybody knows that East has a very solid defensive corps, this is the time to prove it. If they can get some scoring from their top line, maybe Tardy will net 1, or 2 and it will be enough to carry them into the semis. Cretin has a strong defensive player in ...

Thanks Empire, does anyone know the normal price scalpers usually charge for AA games? I remember walking around before the Semi-Final night session on Friday last year and hearing tickets even in the ranges of $60-75? I can't be sure this was the "going" price but it's what I heard. Mayb...

I think for once, Duluth Marshall will be able to go out and play a game without worries that they must win. Virginia isn't necessarily used to having the target on them and I believe that they won't necessarily know how to handle the pressure in a big game situation. With that being said: Why DM wi...

Actually, Duluth Marshall beat Duluth Central 9-1... It looks like their offense is firing on all cylinders and are ready to take on the Bluedevils in what looks like it will be a very good semi-final game

Hopefully this is not the case because the Toppers are still a major contender even after their recent loss to Hibbing. He is an excellent player and if he is able to settle down during the game instead of getting kicked out he will be very key in determining the future of the Hilltoppers. I underst...

First, Nice Article, nice to see coverage like this. I definitely agree with Duluth East being number one. They are held together by stud Derek Forbort. He has both the size and excellent hands to become a very good college player and possibly beyond. I believe his defensive partner is Maclean, who ...

I'm not so sure Duluth Marshall would say this was one of the greatest games they've played. They lost a lead several times, and Kozlak put them up three times, but it looks to be one of the worst defensive games they've played in the last few years. DM has not given up more than 5 goals in a game s...

Everyone knows East doesn't play the local Single A schools other than Denfeld and Central, which the school district requires. Marshall would love to play East (probably Hermantown too). But East doesn't want to. Settled.

Seeing as it isn't very hard for Lucia to recruit the best hockey players, because all he has to do is offer a scholarship and most players in Minnesota would die for it, i think many kids will follow his "suggestion". He makes a good point that they don't want to risk recruiting a kid tha...

This either shows that Grand Rapids is nowhere near as good as they have been in the past few years, or that Virginia is playing up to their potential. I have a feeling it's a little bit of both but it's interesting to see a 7A team beat up on a 7AA team a little bit. It is early in the season so th...

BIG win for the toppers tonight. Isaacson didn't do anything out there. If STA wants to win a game this year they'll need to get a better goalie, D, and forwards. hats off to the toppers. I wouldn't get too cocky here puckman...Marshall seemed to be stuggling and some of that may be due to Mausolf ...

Randolph prefers to spread them out a...
