If I was informed correctly, the Blaine/Moorhead game was rescheduled to later in the season and instead will be playing Champlin Park tonight.

[quote="tworiverfan"]well i tend to watch the two rivers area mostly, from what i saw recently the players in this area to watch are Joe Engelhart who had 4 goals against spooner. also i was surprised with Josh Cisar. he had 5 goals and 2 assists in the game against eveleth gilbert. just f...

The only negative I have about the Wild is they need to score more, they have played great thus far and it will be great seeing them make the playoffs (most likely) but they can't rely on their goaltending entirely.

You're probably right, but this early on in the season much of the rankings is more of an estimate of the potential of the teams.

The reason why I had Nebraska higher on the list is the popularity of junior hockey in lincoln and omaha. Plus UNO is already division 1. Plus Nebraska has a nice venue where the USHL team plays. Would have to agree. With UNO being a fairly solid D1 team, it wouldn't come as a shock to see Nebraska...

Re: Sections 2AA and 6AA predictions?

Who will come out of those two sections and how far will they get? Burnsville, Benilde I'd have to agree. I don't have a horse in either of these section races but I would like to see Benilde finally make it out of 6AA since they haven't been to the tournament since 08' when they nearly upset Edina...

Offensively I would agree with you, defensively not so sure, but I only had last night to judge on. I should have clarified that in my previous post. MG doesn't have terrible defense, but other than Gross they don't have any "standout" defenseman and I'm not sure on the goaltender since C...

I'll take MG 4-2, Edina has a few very talented players but I do not think they can match the depth that MG rolls. And after seeing the way Gross played last night after not really thinking he stood out as a sophomore, he very well could be the best Dman in the state. Scored 2 very nice goals last n...

IMO the BCHL is not as good as the USHL, I think that's obvious. If you look at the college commitment list in the USHL each team has over half of their players going to D1 schools. I also believe the BCHL is better than the NAHL though, in that both leagues send players to D1 schools but what we're...

Besides East, Maple Grove may have the deepest lineup in the state. Goaltending may be a question, but they return almost everyone. Benilde should also be really solid this year, I think it is their year to make it out of 6AA.

You have plenty of time to play Jr's. To be quite honest, the level of play in the NA has gone down a lot in the past 2 years, so the level of play between the NA and HS (especially Elite League) isn't as big as you would think. Good point. That's what I'm saying. I have seen this kids play a few t...

Blaine 6 Maple Grove 4 Malvin looked real solid in net for Blaine, and Maple grove looks to be very good up front this year with almost everyone returning. Kids go to Tier II in Canada to either keep their NCAA eligibility or hopefully move up to the CHL. I think it's why you have the big names as alumni because they had to play in a lower level league to be able to play college. That along with a probably not as much depth as a USHL team is why guys ...

Great list of players. I would bet most of them played in the league as 16-17 yr olds and either left for major junior or college at 18. Still not a good choice for Lucia, he'll have big numbers, but won't develop his overall game. What recent WCHA players came from the BCHL? Also, if you look at t...

New York camp is great chance for exposure for the kids from mn that get to go, but from a hockey perspective, it's almost a joke. The level of play is definitely down a few notches from the 54's and a couple from the section tournament. 50% or more of the kids from other states wouldn't even make ...

Beer League, $250 Parenteau probably should of just played in the beer leagues instead of playing for the Lakers of the MNJHL.... Parenteau is a success story of a very unlikely path. Hardly any players move out of the Tier 3 MNJHL and go play D1, in fact, he is the only one in recent memory of doi...

I wouldn't say it was disappointing. They were not expected to beat Edina, and still gave them a great game. MG probably would have been a seeded team, but had they had to play Edina I'm not sure they would have done any better.
