Hopefully the Eagles can battle hard, they are without there 1st line: Bergh (collarbone) out for the year, Knudsen (hip) out for the week, Spinner (concussion) out for the week. Thanks Doc, no need to broadcast this type of stuff here and give teams time to prepare, let them figure it out come gam...

I'm an Ep fan as well.. crowds at epcc do seem bigger this year than last. With one home game left vs the Hornets it would be nice to get more student support, maybe even the band and HANG LAST YEAR AA CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER? are we waiting on Grant's approval? get it up and help this no name bunch get...

Wow, Really? two quality high school teams in the same area and they don't play? There is NO good reason. Ask the 20 players on each team if they wanted to play, it would 40-0 vote to play..,. this has nothing to do with A & AA schedules, it has to do with stupidity.

Bigger faster stronger has been echoed since the late 70's when I was playing Jr hockey. While that has a little bit of truth, It's more about respect for players than anything else. There is just not enough enforcement of the rules and harsh enough penalties to make players change. I personally hav...

Re: Messier Helmets.

Anyone else having players cut by these helmets? I have seen 2 guys in less than a week be cut open (forehead area) wearing this brand. Just wondering if it's a trend, or bad luck. Thanks for reading. Interesting hearing about this now, over the summer / fall I spoke with numerous people that said ...

Not the same group. The back-to-back group are a year ahead and have 7 or 8 really good players... this years group should be solid 1-15 but don't have anywhere near the goaltending as the group ahead of them. Also EP has new coaching staff coming in. Good luck to all.

I just find it amazing this "Elite League" can have players that didn't play a single minute of varsity hockey. And to add to that, players that didn't post more than 5 points for their respective teams. Blows me away. No family tie's here. This league is a great idea to get boys exposure...

Re: D6 Tourney

sonofblueblood wrote:Ok, how does it work in D6? If three teams go to to State, it sems like you can clearly id 2 but how is the third picked? Can anyone offer insight here?
Both teams that reach loser bracket semi-final go through. Winner goes to championship game and loser is the third seed.

Tough call, I've witnessed first hand what these kind of hockey opportunities can bring for mite players. I have lived in parts of the country where hockey doesn't have numbers and community based team's are non-existent. But when they take 7& 8 year old kids and pool them together from metro ar...

High, Don't get so worked up my friend... You answered your own concern in saying if MN would have gotten the current top 34 - 93's it would have been competitive. I also believe that, however, it just didn't happen. So, we are not that far behind if our best would have gone. Nobody sit's back in Mi...
