zooomx "The arrogant Pee Wee B2 parent who thinks he is too good to talk to a hick parent from outstate is the person who gives Edina a bad name" Prefacing this by saying I am sure this is a very small percentage of Edina residents as I have many friends and family from there that are not ...

Another vote for Bill Baker from my perspective, a complete hockey player, leader and great guy, he had one of the heaviest shots I ever faced in goal.

This matchup reminds me of the Rochester JM team in the big tourney in the late 70's, I chuckled at their chances, I think this will be closer than common sense dictates.

IMO though.. I think Clymer is a nice guy and I'm a Gophers fan, but he does not belong on TV. Way too timid and nervous... Just painful to listen and watch.
Uh Oh Clymerisms!!!

2nd game I have seen in person this year, Great game with nice end to end action, Wayzata skaters blocked at least 6 hard shot chances or Edina could have run this one up. Did anyone else at this game notice the P.A. anouncer try to make a name for himself, absolutely screaming Wayzata players names...

I suppose it's easy to ridicule a guy doing a job like that. I know I wouldn't want to try it. I like having a guy with Housley's insight and experience in the booth myself. [/b] HM & WBL will try to make this an annual event for your listening pleasure. :D Heh. I wonder if Phil will be c...

I for a while have thought one class A and one AA private state section representative would be the way to go:

AA private section 8, 2010
Semifinals
Hill Murray vs Cretin
Holy Angels vs Benilde

Finals
Hill Murray
Holy Angels

AA Private section 8 Champion
Hill Murray?

4-2 Edina, they are due to break out of this freefall, I think Edina just got a little (or a lot) overconfident.

This was a fun game to watch with great forchecking by Wayzata really elevated their play, I had good sightlines on the disallowed Wayzata goal and it looked like it dropped at least 2 inches across the line but was quickly swatted out, the people behind the goal and in the upstairs club room almost...

Lets just make TCF stadium a permanent outdoor rink until the Gophers football team can win some quality games. Until then they can play in the parking lot. :D Great idea. And dump Brewster while they're at it. TCF would be a much better venue but the parking and escaping the campus is horrib...

Do you think Phil will be back next year? If KSTC management listens to the game broadcasts again and has a passion to try to make the presentation on and off the ice better, a lot of reorganizing is in order, you have to look at Housley, he was just terrible again, you would think that he might hav...

Now that I have been called a "fv--er" Warroad 10 Hutchinson 0 Hutchinson with its minnhock ranking of 67 beat the powerhouse New Ulm ranked 75, if section 3A was balanced like the rest, they would rarely make it to state, Just like the Lakeville teams block weaker southern teams in 1AA of...

I saw them play Hopkins at home and at Edina recently, they are a good all around team with no standouts, against Hopkins there were a few plays where they failed to headman the puck coming into the zone with his right winger at full speed causing the offsides, one teamate was really upset and skate...

My guess would be: Minnetonka 6 Mound-Westonka 1 You think it will be that close? I think its possible but not probable that it could be close, if Mounds defense can play there "A" game and they do have some quick forwards that can bury the puck, #11 Colin Mayer is one of them, he has a g...

HM 3 - Edina 1 Good game with the Pie-n-ears looking as if they havent lost too much from last year. Can't knock Zepeda anymore for not going into corners. He did that a number of times tonight - successfully. Biggest difference maker of the game was goaltending. Phillipi's successor was a wall. (s...
