Lechner

If Lechner was even an average coach he would have more than (1) state title. The amount of talent that comes in there year after year is crazy. Of coure they will be there in March, they play in the weakest section in AA. He is the most over rated coach in the state. That being said, Hill still has...

I think the question everyone is missing is what is going on with Mn Hockey? There was only one player that played his youth hockey in the MN Hockey system chosen in the top 125 picks. What does this say about the development within MN Hockey? Even the one player played his last couple of years in A...

Sorry, meant 4AA. I would think you would have to go back quite a ways to find a HIll team not either 1 or 2. STA should win the conference but the #2 spot could be a battle. Hill will probably still end up there but it won't be the cakewalk it usually is.

Section favorite

Hill is still the big favorite in 5AA, maybe even more so than last year's team which had much more talant. 5AA might be the 2nd worst section in the state this season. They may not finish in the top 2 in their conference but they should still be in St Paul come March. Although they will be weak on ...

Wow, a little thin skinned over there on the east side of the river. No need to bash either kid. If you don't think they will be missed then you are entitled to your opinion. Herlofsky left because his family moved to Andover. The title of the thread was transfers for this year and this is the only ...

Hard to believe you can lose 4 kids that all made it as far as NY at one point or another in the select process and not be affected. The JV was average at best last year. Johnson is a solid player. He was never given the chance to grow at Hill. Too many behind the doors deals given to younger player...

That would mean that the only returning D-man would be Heinrich. With an untested goalie it could be a tough go for Hill this year.

USA hockey's program is not the same a AAA hockey. The players chosen are all top level kids. Are they all top 10 kids? No, but they are in the 10% or so. Money does not play much of a part. Anyway, if a program has that much talent they should be able to do better than just compete with other upper...

Hill should be deeper than EP, but they aren't. EP's first line was much better than Hill's but you could not say that about Hill's 2nd and 3rd lines. If they were better than EP's it was not by much. The difference is the D. EP's D were much better than Hill's. Hill Murray has 11 kids on the roster...

SSP

SSP is better than people think. Hill's top 3 lines were 2-2 against them. They played solid D making Hill take weak shots from the outside.

NSC

Very typical for anything involving the NSC. They overcharge for everything. In fact if you want to go to the games in the Gold Division you can't buy a venue pass for the entire bracket unless your team makes the championship because the 3rd, 5th and 7th place games are at Superrink and the pass is...

Jordan was set to play for Hill-Murray this fall but broke his leg during a game in Chicago just prior to the season. To my knowledge he has not been able to skate yet. Hopefully he will make a full recovery and be on the ice next fall for the Pioneers.

Effort- Step back and take a deep breath. Not sure how you are related to Zach but you need to be a little more realistic. The post was titled "Best Freshmen". I have seen him play plenty, and while he has potential to be very good, he is not at that level yet. Realistically he would strug...

Shattuck kids

Avsfan, The Shattuck Tier 1 team was a bantam team. They had a good record against bantam teams in MN but they did get beat also. The kids that made it from Hill-Murray played HS hockey. Big difference. Same with 2 of the kids from Lakeville. The best couple of kids from the Shattuck team did not ev...
