White or light uniforms didn't travel as well, revealed more dirt and wear from the road thus the colored or darker uniforms were preferred for travel. May or may not be true, I'm not sure.

I wasn't there tonight, but I did think, from a strictly hockey standpoint, LDC had the wheels to put Luverne on their heels. Wright Co. jokes aside, they are at the level of physical ability, speed and strength, where that schedule can and does benefit them. They are capable of improving even throu...

That’s a lot of beauracratic opine though. Any solid recaps? New Ulm and Hutch must have been tight. Redwood must have put up a real fight. Windom didn’t just lay down, at least early in Litch? And Luverne played the 1 seed against Willmar...

This is true, could be widened on the back end too. That said, there’s kind of a weird void on the front end with the compressed schedule as it is, might as well use that cushion to build in some contingency.

Snow at the end of February again. Considering the situation, my thoughts would be to spread the intended schedule a little wider and allow more than one night for a semi final postponement. Play ins last Saturday, quarters Tuesday, semis scheduled for Thursday or Friday allowing for a Friday or Sat...

You're right. I blanked on that and just went with inherent bias I guess. Wasn't to spite, flip them, or not, as you alluded probably doesn't matter, both about equally capable of giving a low seed home team fits and throwing a wrench.

Seeds today

1. Luverne - not the 'hype' Luverne of years past but a product of it, hate to lose. Its not even really about winning, just don't lose. 2. LDC - they play a brand of hockey that we all aspire to. It does not discriminate, its hard and fast. Geographical association and schedule cannot be denied, th...

Hockey wouldn't be hockey if it was mainstream enough to get celebrity attention. Its kinda the point. You're either all in or don't get it and don't bother with it. Its hard to be a casual fan who never played and doesn't understand the nuances of the game, that caps the fan base and I'm fine with ...

4-2 Luverne, empty netter at 16:59. poor job of refereeing tonight. 2 loose pucks that Luverne goalie didn't have in first period and ref blows the whistle.. probably wouldn't have led to goals but you never know. However, loose puck in 3rd with 6 or so minutes left and comes right to an LDC player...

Luverne holiday

How has the holiday tourney been for Luverne? Looked like regardless of outcome it would be a good team development atmosphere. Not going Lord on it here, but it’s big for us Big Southers to have to strap it up like that on consecutive days.

Genuinely curious, drifting not trolling.

The only way the Cards don't roll tomorrow is if the bus breaks down!! Unfortunately comments like this are a major reason the cards continue to fall on their face in the finals. Internet forum comments are the reason high school boys lose hockey games??? C'mon guy. http://mktcdn.uberflip.com/sales...

Litch Luverne New Ulm Marshall Hutch Redwood Willmar Windom Rest Considering the parity and what is yet to be seen, could easily entertain Luverne/Litch New Ulm/Marshall/Hutch Guess I could say top 2 and top 5 are up for debate with more evidence to be considered. Litch is Litch until proven otherwi...

Marshall's head coach does deserve recognition of how he has handled this sort of game and I'm glad it hasn't gone unnoticed. He respects the opponent and the game, and its this kind of leadership we hope fosters and grows respectful and humble young gentlemen. P.S. I wish not to bring up another si...

I haven't seen enough of everything to say it confidently, but with what I do have to go off of I would be willing to make a case for Minnehaha in the top ten. How do you give up 5 goals to Marshall and say they have the best D in the section. Valid point. First off, as much as I'm sure they would like to have him out there all the time, he's not, though close. Second off, I know everyone thinks Marshall is a joke, but believe it or not they got a couple ...

What a game in Litchfield tonight. LDC from puck drop proved to be the better team. Marshall proved to be a team that didn't want to lose, opportunistic to say the least. And what culminated was some kind of back and forth hockey game. It was less forth and more back for Marshall, and vice versa for...

Gotta go with notTonight on this one. For anyone, anywhere, ever, to put their name on the top of that list, to do what has not been done, in MN, should be respected. To do it as a sophomore, commands respect, from anywhere, ever. Hockey is a great sport for its humility, you do not live up to that ...
