And what was the problem that surfaced that resulted in MH creating that rule? And how many other hockey organizations existed so that someone even needed to think about the implications of playing on multiple teams during the same season? Not too long ago only D6 and D5 allowed open enrollment. Aft...

I agree, that MH should not be able to tell you what to do outside of MH interaction, but they are well within their rights to establish the rules for Districts, affiliates/associations which inevitably trickle down to individuals who choose to belong to (become part of) MH upon registration, for ho...

I am not sure why D6 is taking all the heat on this as it appears to me they are just enforcing the age old Minnesota Hockey rule that you cannot be rostered on more than 1 team. I guess that might be an implied more than 1 MH team, and MM teams are not a MH affiliate. I can see both sides of this, ...

Wow!!! I had no idea this pattern existed with this kid and parents. More fuel to the rest of the parents animosity I suspect. But also, I don't think either the MSHL or AD or HS coach is aware of past patterns. That is why I think MSHSL is at fault for not upholding their own rule. Edgy keeps sayin...

Rumour is that MSHSL ruled to give the kid a waiver from having to play JV at PL this year and now he is playing on varisty there. I wonder what kind of financial hardship you have to come up with to get MSHSL to waive their own transfer rule? Seems to me this will now be the precedent more will fol...

Sounds more to me that the player's dad needs his son to make a team. So if he can't make the team of choice he will bully his son's way onto a team that at least his son has friends on. Good for the kids, they will enjoy their teammates. Too bad for the parents who are now forced to deal with anoth...

Please review //www.mshsl.org/mshsl/publications/code ... ?ne=6.pdf
Both athlete and parent had to sign these forms which spells out the rules and violations of the rules. These are nothing new and have been the rules for quite some time.

Road Rage, I know for a fact of at least one association that has that language in its policies and/or bylaws but has promoted several waived in players to A teams. This particular association does not have a numbers problem and has teams at all levels. PM me for details if you desire. IMO I would t...

Many tournaments specifically state the policy in the tournament rules regarding artificial noise makers. Many arenas post signs that prohibit them. Might as well condition the parents in youth hockey to give them up as the MSHSL rules do not allow them although there are a number of fans at HS game...

I've been asking this question for a few years and have never gotten a responsible answer. MH rules state that a player cannot be rostered on more than 1 team, yet the VFW teams do play within the MH calendar year and often overlapping the same league season. How can this be? If MH allows players to...
