Re: Elite league

Our head coach said we will win state in 2 years, we will beat Minnetonka this year. We don’t play Minnetonka during the regular season but will see them in the section final. Well if your head coach says it, it must be true! :P Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to get to find out this yea...

Re: Elite league

HF was 20-5 last year and I wouldn’t doubt they do better than that this year. They have established themselves as one of the most dominant programs in the MSHSSL and Winny’s Os programs. Elite league there will be at least 9 players playing in Elite league, that’s the most out of any program in th...

Re: Elite league

Re: NAHA rosters- the U19 JWC team is heavily weighted to Holy Family players, plus another couple from HF on the U16 roster- I count 8 ttl players from HF. And lots of top players missing from 2022/2023 grad years. No players from Edina, Wayzata, or Tonka, very little representation from Breck &...

Re: Recruiting window for '22s

The date for coaches to contact athletes directly was yesterday for the 2022 grad year; however, no in person campus visits can take place until Aug 1 I think. I know their were lots of calls happening yesterday (my daughter said some of her friends got calls) so will be interesting to see how many ...

Great post- thanks for sharing. Will be interesting to see how things change with COVID. I have a 2023 grad and I feel like this is the group that will be most affected with the COVID cancellations in terms of recruiting as this was their last summer to showcase before coaches can call directly on J...

Re: Roll Call...ANYBODY still checking this site/board? Lets help some people out now or the future!

I lurk occasionally, definitely not as much as I did during the season. Not much to talk about right now with HP cancelled, and everything on hold. I do worry about the 20-21 HS season being cancelled.

Re: The Hub's 2020 Way-Too-Early Top-10 rankings...

I'd put Wayzata solidly in the #3 spot- Sloane Matthews will just keep getting better, plus their 15A team is full of freshman and pretty dominant. Agree that EP & FL are ranked too high. Was surprised to see no mention of Holy Family in the 11-15 spots, they are definitely an up and coming team...

I will go on the record and say these teams will be in the state title game again next year.
Yep- rumor has it Edina is getting 4 move ins from Shattuck- and they are not freshmen.

Re: Tonka / Andover

I thought Tonka had them until refs called the penalty in the neutral zone with less than 2 min left which allowed Andover to pull their goalie and go 6 on 4. Disappointing after they let so many other penalties go throughout the game. Still fun game to watch- both teams played well.

Re: Special teams

RE: Minnetonka- their top two D missed a handful of games in late Dec and early Jan for the U18 National team, plus played one game the day after they got back with jet lag. Guessing this may have impacted their numbers.

Re: Blake and Breck

So out of curiosity, why doesn't Breck move up to AA? They are clearly capable of playing with the big dogs, and compete well with the AA teams they've played this season. Seems they hardly ever have competition in the single A state tourney every year, other than Warroad. My understanding was that ...

Breck vs Andover

Wow- have to admit I'm surprised at the final score on this one. Does anyone who saw the game have any insight?

Re: Tonka/Andover

Saw the game- Tonka's goalie stood on her head and was amazing - she took 40+ shots, let in 2 (as mentioned, last goal was an ENG, actually knocked in by Tonka). Tonka rolled all 3 of their lines fairly equally, Andover seemed to be playing only their top two lines in the 1st period, 3rd line seemed...
