Re: Hometown Miracle

I'm not sure if this belongs on the high school forum, but did anyone watch the series on channel 5 about the 1980 Miracle on Ice hockey team? It was a 4 parter & I though it was excellent, especially the 3/29/20 episode. Toward the end of that episode there was quite a touching tribute to Herb Bro...

Re: Goalies moving on to next level

At the risk of sounding like a homer, let me add Logan Wright to the mix. I watched him play several outstanding games & at times out of this world keeping Greenway competitive especially this year when they didn't have the offensive firepower.

I went and looked on the KSTP website and could not find anything up yet.
BSU Beaver,
My bad. The name of the show is Hometown Miracle. I looked at my DVR recordings this morning & this is the accurate name.
Sorry about that & apologies to the rest of the readers.

Yes we're all going to feel a bit of a pinch for some time, but if cooler heads prevail we will come out of this and find ways to recover! Slapshot.. Kumusta ka!! Prayers for all those that have the virus or are trying to contain it. Slapshot, I'm very impressed that you starting dealing with this back in February. Re: CoVid-19

Good question on the toilet paper Raider. While I’d hate to run out of that there are many things more essential than that. Besides, I texted my Wisconsin friends and told them how lucky they were that they have all that Packer gear in case they run out. 😁 Spoken like a true Iron Ranger. Who else b...

Re: 1996: Duluth East/Apple Valley

Watching it right now. Duluth East won that game in the 2nd OT Looks like it hit the cross-bar...............were there more angles than those we saw in the clips above? I think that was the only angle they provided. It looked in to me based on the time it took to break back away from the net. I re...

Good advice Goldy and get well. I took off from Green Bay last Thursday with a load of refrigerated food for the San Fran/ San Hose area. Re: Future of Duluth Marshall

They are still working on that and there has been some "talk" of new registrants, but nothing is confirmed until they are sitting in the classrooms in the fall. No confirmation on how many kids will be on the roster until the fall is all I can say with certainty. Anything beyond that is speculation...

@Sparlimb West Range Arena is now Hodgins Berardo Arena, Coleraine, MN Affectionately known to all as the "The Snake Pit". How many years has Hill teams made the trek up to Rapids for the scrimmage games in early November? Seems like a good 20 years now. Always a very nice early test for the kids f...

Re: Can we please bring back on-ice cheerleaders?

I've noticed that for the most part it's the out state teams that have the cheerleaders. Very few TC teams do. Maybe they can't find enough kids to make up a team.
I know Grand Rapids & Greenway have them.

Re: Sparlimb

Oh yes, I recall that 1 vs. 2 epic at Aldrich with Holy angels. Hill had the better of them, then one defenseman made a mistake right near the Hill goal, & someone pounced on it. So it nded as a tie. Those teams were far better than everyone else that year. It looked like they'd meet at the for sur...

Six weeks ago my wife booked us a dinner and show for tonight. Gotta find a way to fake explosive diarrhea so I can stay home and watch the game. Re: Mahtomedi vs Hermantown

Congratulations Mahtomedi ! FINALLY! Dardis no doubt the player of the tournament.
What were the SOG, more than 4-1 difference. I kinda thought the tying goal was interference by the H-town guy in the crease but in the end the hockey gods smiled on the Zephyrs.
Great game start to finish.
