Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?

Old Man (jury still out on wise), I am honestly and truly sorry for you. I'm sure you believe what you are saying. Therefore you must be very sad and scared for yourself, your loved ones, and the world. I see manipulated numbers. The deaths are full of "probable" and "died with". I saw the focus sta...

Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?

This is all such BS. Nothing but fear mongering, dictating, and controlling. "Stop the spread, safety, wear a mask, shelter in place, disease, cases are skyrocketing, the second wave, the new normal, yada yada yada" Pathetic!!! Notice how no one talks about death any more??? All you hear about are t...

And the Junior leagues will go on, maybe start later. Elite League looks like a go for now with tryouts planned not sure where they go from here.
Since about half of the players are picked and protected before tryouts...it is my understanding that there will not be tryouts. Just invites.

Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?

Crazy: I am happy for Alberta, but I think you miss my point. Minnesota doesn't have any laws laying out the guidelines. Nor do most of these states or Providences. They are executive orders. The one state that has legally challenged the authority of the Governor, Wisconsin, is completely open beca...

Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?

Nobody wants to be left behind as it pertains to getting back on the ice. The kids, parents, and coaches don't want to be the one that fell behind by sheltering while others were skating. It will show. Any state or rink that offers the most lenient ice opportunity gets the action. For a couple weeks...

I would guess Hudson goes in the NAHL supplemental draft this Tuesday. Many of the NAHL goalies were drafted by the USHL last Tuesday leaving a lot of openings.

Re: Role of the Minnesota State High School League

A major role of MSHSL is to protect the players. This thread is a lot about movement of players and how so many are screaming foul about ambiguous rules which require interpretation and to some have a level of subjectivity and may be hard to prove. The MSHSL if very clear about the cages goalies mus...

Not only Hogg, but why isn't Limesand mentioned in this discussion? Some BSM insiders seem to be talking about next year's starter by way of the Elite League.

Re: AA Goalie Leaders Thru Feb 1

I would love to see these separated by A and AA. Then I would love to see PageStat run each of the top 10 through a SOS calculation. I'm of the opinion that some goalies have strong stats because of the quality of the teams (and shots) they face. It will take some effort because each goalie needs th...

Re: Should hockey players have agents...

A talented player looking to play juniors or college should get help between their Soph/Jr year or in their U16AAA year. They start getting bombarded with camp invites and tryouts plus June before Junior year in high school colleges can officially talk to them. They need to be getting sound advice a...

Re: Key player injuries 2019-20

Limesand is a very skilled goalie positioned to be on a very successful team this season. He has been fighting an injury since clear back in the beginning of the HP Section 6 tryouts day 1. He battled for 10 minutes and left the ice. It was my understanding it is a groin issue. USA Hockey continuall...
