Wouldn’t surprise me if Hibbing was the surprise team and got a home spot come playoff.
If the new coach can get those incoming sophomores up to speed by midseason, I think you'll be right.👍

Re: Coaching Changes - 2020-21

What’s the status of the search for a new coach for Hibbing? The coach hasn't been announced, but he is a great fit and has deep roots in the boys and girls programs in Hibbing. It will be great to have someone that will have a program wide approach finally. Outstanding. Some good teams coming up f...

BP Memorial Trophy. WOW :-k
I should clarify, my apologies. I did not mean the man himself was deceased, but rather his notion that Hermantown was a "small town team made up of small town kids" who couldn't compete against metro teams who get "kids from all over the place" was deceased.

Re: The Hermantown Thread

I don’t understand why any Hermantown fan would ever attempt a post defending the Hawks. They get immediately destroyed by either Jeffy or ranier or both. It does make for entertaining reading though. We all could use a smile during these crazy times, so let's thank HHawk4Never for dangling some se...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Why did someone let this kid down so badly and send him to a Class A second place trophy factory, The 'Rona scare has not sapped your wit =D> Thank you, but what Hermantown is doing is so over-the-top egregious that the jokes pretty much write themselves. In fact, making Hermantown supporters look ...

Re: Scott Perunovich

Watching him play with the puck as long as he did, it always amazed me why other teams didn't just forget about the puck and pummel him every chance they got. Will be interesting to see if his lack of size matters at the next level. Because his agility on skates was off the charts ☝️I think he will...

Re: Scott Perunovich

He certainly sees more out on the ice than most. He will still be anchoring a pp in the NHL ten years from now. Agreed, the pp will be his bread and butter. Tarasenko will probably buy him a Lamborghini at some point, just to say thanks. :D Scott kept the recent Hibbing-UMD train rolling. Adam John...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

It’s weird anyone is worried about “a Class A team” when the only one that is a) in close proximity to a usually good HS program, and b) has an overwhelming consensus agreeing they are in no way representative of Class A is Hermantown. Warroad plays Roseau Cathedral plays St. Cloud East Grand Forks...

Re: Class A Tourney w/o top 3 teams

Rainer, it’s clear and obvious that Hermantown is killing hockey in the north. Maybe, and a distant maybe, a miracle like 2019 Greenway will happen again but Hermantown has a clear advantage that no other team in the state has and it’s obvious and a disgrace to the game of hockey because it is kill...

Re: Class A Tourney w/o top 3 teams

I dont have a favorite team... I love to see an underdog one of my favorite teams all time for the 03 Simley team that almost won it all. I like St Paul Johnson for its history. I like Outstate's with history Greenway was great two years ago... I was hoping or Eveleth this year. I think What Little...

1. Yes I was at the Tourney I love high school hockey I go every year. Again what makes this a great state of hockey you can just like Hockey. 2. I like Class A... There was a time when you had to be on a waiting list to get AA tickets so when I went to St Paul I went to watch CLass A. Watching Poh...

Yep hard to believe I just liked seeing 4 really good teams play in front of 13,000 people and instead of 7,000 like the old days... I like Class A I like Hibbing just sad how much whining is done. So you know Class A very well going back the past twenty years, at le...

Re: Class A Tourney w/o top 3 teams

Wait a minute. So Hermantown made the c-chip game this year with a “drought” of two years prior. Let’s look at previous 11 years. Hermantown in c-chip game 9 out of 11 years. Yes the same team in the c-chip game every year9 out of 11. That is not what class A hockey was made for. I’ll say it again ...

Re: Class A Tourney w/o top 3 teams

Sorry but class AA will always be the big boy tourney, the tourney to show the best team in state, Class A will always be akin to kissing your cousin. That's a strange sentiment from someone who calls themselves ClassAGuy. #-o ) Again Yes Mahtomedi and Hermantown hav...

Re: Class A Tourney w/o top 3 teams

Attendance continued With five schools that close to the X you don’t think that had no effect on attendance? Also with the dominance of the other three schools. Kids and families love to watch dominant teams. With Hermantown, SCC, and Warroad with great fan bases! You think that had no effect on at...
