I would think Smedsrud will be back for his senior year. If anything I hope he would do what Kyle Rau did. Practice and play with the Stampede up until the high school season starts then play his senior year and return to the Stampede after winning the state tournament. :D Luverne has two chances o...

Why did you feel it was necessary to rain on these kids parade. thousands of kids play hockey, and only a few are picked in the first round, but according to you that's not good enough, these 1st rounders weren't tendered, or picked for the National Dev. team. No matter what these kids do in the fu...

The Futures draft is somewhat misleading in the first round now though because some best players get signed to tenders before the draft happens. That wasn't around 3 or 4 years ago. Not to mention the fact that the NTDP picks most of the cream before it gets to the draft. . Haters are going to hate...

Life isn't fair, neither one of us is going to change the results, you didn't say who Jack was better than of the players who were chosen.

I agree with Sats on this one. If a kid doesn't make the final 54 or even his section team it's just not that important. Getting cut from the section team might have been the best motivation my son ever had during youth hockey. Can the process be infuriating? Absolutely , but if a kid can play they...

Re: Likely U17 NTDP selections, YHH article

http://www.youthhockeyhub.com/news_article/show/495373?referrer_id=1447935 I know the team hasn't been picked, but looking at past teams, it seems that if you had a brother on a previous team, you have a very good chance of making the team, is this nepotism or is the younger brother getting in on h...

No, they just happen to have kids that are good enough to make high school team and contribute in a big way. Who does? What youth association nominated them? i am just saying the boys who made the 15 HP 6 team, made it on their talent, the HF players who made it are from Shakopee, Chaska associatio...

As far as the parent, when you join a team it is your responsibility to follow the rules as they are...
