You should like your chances, only bantam teams playing with 01's. Yes, but also playing with 03's. First half of birth year for 3's and second half for 01's. Not as much as an age difference when 02's move up to U16 next season when 1st half of 01's will also be on rosters. At this stage of the ga...

A little off topic but I am curious how they assign the sections. Seems unfair that the 2AA top seed gets a bye in the first round. Why don't they move one of the 10 teams in 3AA to 2AA to give them 8?

I have heard the 2002 Blades do the same thing. They supposedly have more than 20? kids in their program and rotate them through. I have no knowledge of how costs are divided up, if at all, but even if you don't get to play in a tournament your kid is going to get better practicing against that comp...

I believe only the brick teams are in the elite 03 level The Rockford team is going to be in over their heads. They have a great group of 03s but can't believe they will be competitive with Brick teams. Half their team is comprised of kids who are playing for the Chicago Jr Blackhakws Brick team (w...

To slightly change the subject, let me ask a question about these kids. Were they all superstars through squirts and peewees and everyone knew who they were or are there a couple that developed late and went from good players to great players at bantam or later? Just curious as I am not from there a...

there is a lot more to the ADM than just "not letting mites play full ice games" there are a lot of very good things in that package that are not being well utilized by associations. as well there are many good things in all of USA hockey's CEP program that are never utilized by associations and co...

Sometimes I get the feeling that US Hockey exists to publish a magazine, fund the national development program, and maintain salaries and a nice office. Please prove me wrong. This is 100% true. The only reason that USA Hockey tries to "grow the game" is to have a bigger pool of players to choose f...

So what does this tell you? There is ample opportunity to get your kid some extra ice ice time in the Spring and Summer and continue improvement. Elliott, any idea who is the driving force? Some of the people that have sought out AAU are actually one-time USA Hockey (or affiliate) leaders that see it as an easier way to do what they want. Others are anti-establishment guys from the outside that have been challenging status quo. It's interest...

Summer Camps

I would like for my son to go to a week long overnight camp next summer with some of his friends. I went when I was about his age and still have great memories. He will be 11 at the time, if that matters. Does anyone have experiences from this year or prior years of places they would recommend? Good...
