Minneapolis dumped the “Novas” name in 2016 when Dziedzic took over. They no longer have a nickname.

I hate to give them any credit, but Hill-Murray has a treasure trove of their appearances on their website (I highly recommend the 1984 vs. Johnson game . #Cooperalls).

Johnson-Como Park also had to petition before the 2016-17 season to remain A. I don't know the terms of that petition - if it was just for the season, or if it extends through the upcoming realignment.

It's refrigerated, so unless the rain gets way out of control, they should be fine.

I just noticed that tickets for this are $35 for this thing. I was at 2015's in St. Paul, and I can't remember exactly how much it was, but I think it was in the neighborhood of $15-20.

Johnson's still probably too high in this list... For now. Yes, they're 5-0-1 against AA, but 3 of those were against middle of the road teams (NSP, Woodbury, Eagan), and 3 weren't so hot (RJM, AHA, Hopkins). But, you play whoever's on the other side of the red line, and they're winning most of them...

Watched AHA play Johnson on Rink 1 last week.

That said, having used it for a tournament myself, I know that AHA also has a locker room in Rink 2 with the custom "Stars" lockers as well. Guessing maybe JV plays over there, and maybe that's where the confusion came in?

We alum showed up in '09 after they upset Tartan too... Unfortunately, the team themselves decided not to show up that night. They were never in that game against Stillwater.

Jay Dickman was on that team too. Here's hoping he and Moose don't let it happen again. At least go down fighting this time.
