Re: Out State Recruitment -- STA this year and going forward

It is clearly not just a private school phenomenon, Mark Hall won six individual wrestling titles and numerous team titles at Apple Valley, he now wrestles for Penn State and has at least one National championship. He played high school football in Michigan in the fall then wrestled in Minnesota in...

Re: Out State Recruitment -- STA this year and going forward

I wondered how long it was going to take for this to come up. Should have been handled before Sections even started. Should have been handled before the season started. The big thing that gets lost in this sometimes, don't blame the kids. It's the coaches, administrators, and the parents that allow...

Re: Out State Recruitment -- STA this year and going forward

I'm amazed that this is new info to people. I knew about this before the season started. Doesn't anybody look at Elite Prospects? I mean, how does a player go from east coast, to Omaha, and then magically end up in Minnesota his senior season? Shouldn't that be enough reason to ask a few questions?...

Also, let’s not forget the post game interview with the goalie last night.

Re: Out State Recruitment -- STA this year and going forward

The Minnesota Model Community based hockey is the best in America! Some schools are starting to skirt the rules. The MSHSL is suppose to police this! They clearly are not. This rule looks very clear to me. 100.00 Bylaws General Eligibility: General Eligibility 1) Change of Residence: *Include other ...

Re: Who’s your top AA team?

Pretty easy now!

1- Andover
2- Rosemount

Minnetonka should find the top 10 again. Most their losses were by one goal, but they are now finding ways to win.

Re: AA Rankings for 12/29/19

Yep. EP will be just fine. They will have a tougher time getting out of their section than they planned but so will some other teams. 18-19 Chaska to 19-20 EP is not a good analogy. No correlation at all in overall talent or depth. Right! What did Chaska have, four or five D1 commits? Two NHL draft...

Re: AA Rankings for 12/29/19

WBL by default right now.. Andover beats Moorhead and Rosemount beats St Thomas those two teams would be locks with the top 2 spots. EP is looking a lot like last years Chaska squad. Lots of big names don’t translate to wins. Right now EP has one win against a top 10 team and that’s Edina which is ...

Re: AA Rankings for 12/22/19

Anyone know if any other top 10 team only runs 2 lines? Rosemount runs 2 lines 75% of the time. Both loses were against teams that ran 4 lines against them. Rosemount did not look tired in the 3rd. They took it to Andover pretty good in the 3rd. Rosemount’s had much better scoring chances. Andover’...

Rsmt Beats Tonka 5-2 . Might otherwise be termed the Luke Levandowski show , with 4 of them. Assuming Danny and Karl will debrief more on the Podcast Rosemount’s 4D might be the best In the state! (Ratzlaff, Campbell, Wheeler, Horsager.) They have three Marquee forwards in Levandowski, Kenefick and...

Re: Seldom noticed and under rated

I saw the scorer from Forest Lake in the Spring tryout process for USA Hockey Natty Camp. Dalton Saltness I think? I know he's scoring for the HS team this year. I'd say he's underrated. If I recall, he led the tryout in scoring and didn't get an invite to Nattys. I'm probably wrong, but I recall s...

Are you kidding - the late goal was about three seconds after the whistle blew - should have been a penalty for fie for shooting after the whistle This is crap to actually be saying stuff like this So, you do agree it was never covered and there shouldn’t have been a whistle! 3 seconds😳 hardly!

Re: Games Wednesday & Thursday

OBOY I was down on the far blue line. Had a bad angle on the play. I definitely heard the whistle, so I knew the play was dead when puck went in, rightly or wrongly. But had no idea the call was so bad. Too bad for the Irish, they played a super game. . I was really impressed with Irish D. Both slo...

Excellent reporting 59! Thoughts on this game? BTW, is this about your 6th game this weekend, and 350 miles traveled? Did you see Rosemount beat Htown? Did not see Biondi & Pierce get held scoreless by Rosemount- HUGE win for them! I have family in Duluth/Superior & just got back to the NW ...

Rosemount over Cretin 2-0 today. Irish Goalie played great, Rosemount’s top 4 D are extremely good and all underclassman, Gleason so fun to watch. Sophomore Luke Levandowski and Jr Mason Wheeler both scored. Nick Davison our for Cretin Two Sr Captains Ty Linneroth and Jackson Sabo were out for the I...

Keep an eye on Rosemount! 21 wins this year, they return their 5 top D, the entire top line is back, Bantam AA team is going to state and Levandowski is up for Bantam AA player of the year. Also, have a solid sophomore goalie that advanced to HP16 final 54 last year! They will give St Thomas a run i...

Well the bomb is ticking at ole Lakeville North only about a week away from the long term, loyal North players who grew up in the program with one goal to make the high school team are cut for the promised recruits. Then Tic..Tic..Tic and Boom the life long north parents and supporters go nuts. Sta...

So you want to limit a HS coaches income? Wow! People are free to make choices. Don't like it, don't sign up. Instead of complaining on here, put your energy into making things change. Go to your board. In fact it might be a good idea for you to have a meeting with Eniger? He makes more in 7 weeks ...

So if a person has a passion to coach HS hockey he is suppose to only earn what the school district pays? Really don't follow the logic. Last time I had a passionate plumber at my house I got a bill. I would guess most HS coaches have a meeting of sone kind like this. The difference is they don't have to put a bunch of BS out there to cover there A$$ when they cut kids for recruits. If he is so involved and such a great Coach why are his youth teams struggling so much. It must be just coinciden...

My guess is it sounds like Eigner is a lot more involved with the youth program than most high school coaches are so I wouldn't think meetings like this are going on all over, no. I certainly could be wrong though. Probably a naive comment.......but I can't imagine the folks at the MSHSL wouldn't c...
