I stand behind my criticism. The practices are not focused on skill development. I did not pinpoint a team so my criticism is not personal. I have talked to my coach as have other dads. Nothing changed and the board isn't involved once teams are picked so they can't help. It is a watered down product.

Blueandwhite guy, the 4 "wins" were against weak teams so the 4-2 record thing is over stated. Too much money for a weekend to attend knowing we would not win against top teams. Shouldn't be the case in Edina.

I have a player on one of the teams. The practices are frankly mite practices with little skill development. My kid has not improved like I thought he would. Neither team has won a big game. OMG, WBL, Chaska/Chan and others are simply better. EHA doesn't care about winning at the squirt level. If th...

I saw most of '03 Blades/Machine championship game and it wasn't close. Not disagreeing to disagree but the Blades team is a much better team. The 2002 Blades did win last year. They won the Caribou Cup and beat Machine Orange twice in 24 hours. Pretty shoddy reporting Pylon. j/k

'02 Blades/Machine Score from Chi-Town Shufgle

Blades 4
Orange 1

Orange played better in first. Blades seemed tight. After first Blades out worked and out played them and took over the game despite terrible officiating on both sides. Machine finished with 9 shots. Hope they meet again.

2nd Brick Tryout Added

All, a 2nd tryout for The Brick Invitational has been added for Saturday, 4/15 from 9:15 - 10:45 AM at St. Louis Park to accomodate the number of players who registered as well as the '02 Machine players who have practice during the first tryout. FYI.

The Brick team is not picked and will not be picked (suuposedly) until May 1st. The head coach is a nonparent coach and he is going to win. He will take as few or as many players as he needs to accomplish the goal. Hopefully, some Machine kids will show up as it would be great for Minnesota Hockey. ...

During a Brick year, all participating teams have two rosters. One for the regular AAA season and another for The Brick tourney. The Brick committee mandates that any team participating at The Brick must conduct tryouts specifically for The Brick. This is to ensure all teams are bringing their most ...

A little history for the non psychotic folks on the board. One of the reasons this year's Brick team is going as Team Minnesota is to make it easier for Machine kids to try out and potentially make the squad. In the past, Mr. McBain has told his Machine families he will cut them if they try out for ...

Yes, any Machine player is allowed and encouraged to try out. This year's team is going as Team Minnesota. Ideally, the make up of the team would consist of the best players from Minnesota regardless of AAA affiliation.

'02 Blades vs. Machine

Huge Hook, I am going to go out on a limb here and say that you have a son on the '02 Machine. Just a hunch! Anywho, I was told the board or "bored" can be fun at times so yes I actually did join for some fun. And no my son is not affiliated with either team because he isn't good enough to...

'02 Blades v Machine

Let me set the table by letting you know by son plays for a middle of the pack AAA team and I have no allegiance to the Machine or Blades organizations. With that said, did anyone see either of the '02 Blades/Machine games this past weekend at Caribou? Man are those kids good. The Blades outskated a...
