Holy family will be be pretty good thats if gersich stays. BSM wont lose anyone to juniors next year that isnt graduating and there are a few ...

What a game. Gotta give credit to Hermantown first and foremost (something no one on this board seemed to do before the matchup) they played their hearts out and can compete with anyone, A or AA. Now to my favorite group on the board, the haters . Keep sippin' chumps, keep sippin'. Guzzle that hate...

Based on how they've placed teams in the past, it will be either 1AA or 3AA. I wouldn't mind seeing them in 4AA, however. :) Lee let's move them every year so every section can take a turn knocking them off  but back on topic... Wayzata is a funny animal in how they've been good at the youth l...

The only possible move I could see involving the four "big" schools is that IF Burnsville or Prior Lake move to 1AA, EdenPrairie might move to 2AA to replace them. the only thing that frightens me about losing a team.. is if they moved Edina back into 6AA to replace that team. side note; ...

Call against Hermantown had to be made. Can argue all day about who pulled who but the hermantown guy was chasing, can't put your hand on the guy in that situation. Should have been a call against STA right before the goal though. Too bad, great game to watch if no rooting interest. I think people ...

hard to say one way or the other with how good the other schools are in 6AA. Could they win the next 2-3 section titles? Sure. Could they get bounced in the semi-finals the next 2-3 years? Sure. Also putting a wrinkle into the discussion is if they re-align 6AA (doubt they will take any of the 4 &qu...

Eden Prairie had something like 5 losses over four seasons with an undefeated 2006 season. how many state titles did they win during that span? Wasn't 3. And that's why I put the question out there. Are they the best program in state history (for now) or are they just the best program "right n...

'Tonka and girls hockey history

so when people talk about dominating programs in boys hockey, usually it starts with Edina with other great eras being mentioned (Jefferson in the early 90s as an example.) So where does this most recent state championship put the 'Tonka girls hockey team since they are the first team to win 3 title...

Really? you don't have any idea what a private school coach is doing So just keep your mouth shut about anything having to do with private schools. You don't know anything about them. Flat out... I know Pauly is a huge advocate of keeping seniors so don't talk as if you know what Pauly is thinking....

Private schools playing class A are: -Rochester Lourdes -Breck -Blake -Providence Academy -Minehaha Academy -St. Thomas Academy -Totino-Grace -St. Paul Academy -St. Cloud Cathedral -Legacy Christian -Duluth Marshall Looking at this list, I think all of these teams could compete in a AA section with...

They have youth programs with numbers, produces more good players. Did sats forget how to coach at the end of his run? nope, the heart and soul of his pipeline bailed and went to AHA. At the same time Kennedy is still producing good players at the youth level and they start heading to Jefferson...I...

Great example, they keep their kids, for the most part so does Burnsville and Eagan as well but they all have one thing in common...they are WINNING programs. At or near the top their conference every year. These coaches..ie Urich..are teaching systems just like sats did and Ikola before him. A cer...

You're not listening though. It's okay because they play AA  I agree with that... in AA, I don't mind if a private school wins consistently. Heck I'd love to see SSM play the dominate public schools as well. I think it would open more than a few eyes in terms of our hockey ability (I honestly ...

There you have it, " Personally, if my kid has a lot of talent in anything and the local schools don't focus on that area... you can bet my kid will be transferring schools to help them develop that talent/skill." The high School season lasts roughly 3 months, Kids now play year around. M...

I was at the game last night, and Hill was definately the better team in the end. I heard an interesting tidbot from an older gentleman I sat next to. ok... the game... Hill is going to come out playing as physical as possible to slow BSM down. Edina did this in their game against BSM and it was a close game (I would even say that Edina had control most of the game.) If Hill doesn't play physical, they can't skate with BSM. I'm picking BSM 4-2 (EN)

That is the problem with privates, no hometown = no hometown fans. The only kids dreaming of playing for HM or Benilde have brothers or sisters playing there. That the large metro schools don't blow all other competiton out of the water shows how poorly the youth/highschool connection is being mana...

Burnsville. Sadly they can never beat Edina :( as a 'Tonka alum who grew up in the 80s and early 90s... I feel your pain. I know you're supposed to want to actually beat the other team, but I was soooooooo happy to see Edina moved out of Section 6, I didn't mind having to deal with EP, BSM and Wayz...
