This one's a no brainer. Orono and New Prague have long been the best two teams for these age brackets (they were usually the #1 seeds from their districts going into their regional tournament), so I don't think you can really consider either one of them (Ryan or Sawchuk) for Coach of the Year. Prov...

Are there any other districts out there that have "minimum requirements?"

Are there any guidelines set forth by USA Hockey or Minnesota Hockey?

S-SM Stats

Interesting, RL. Before Advanced 15 tryouts, 8 goals and a handful of assists (I was looking at them, too... but I can't remember the exact stats). After tryouts, 40 goals and 38 assists... a miraculous run in the last few games to become S-SM Tier I leading scorer!! Amazing!!! Is there any shame???...

Bugsy, Are you suggesting that Mommy and Daddy throw some greenbacks Minnesota Hockey's way to encourage them to give a little extra consideration to little Spartan Johnny? How could that be? Does anybody know if the coaches have input on which of their players advance, or is it completely up to a s...

Re: Best bantam B team district 4

Maybe B bantams is the best place for a team like Luverne, but if they have 4-5 A caliber players, those players should be waivered into a program that is going to field an A team. I'm sure the parents would make the argument about too much driving, which is surely an issue. It is up to the Board in...

Re: $25,000

Word on the street is that the RYHA (Rochester) pays their director (a former JM Rocket, Gopher and NHL'er) to the tune of $50k/year.

Holy PLEASE BAN ME Mushrooms. 51-8-3 with something like 8 more games before districts, regions, state and vfw. They're gonna be over 80 games. Incredible.

I saw him play as a pee wee and again this year. He was a phenomenal pee wee. He is a good player now, but the pack is catching up to him.

Re: Best 91's

A kid by the name of Prescott from North St. Paul should be considered one of the best 91s out there. I believe he's playing for the 91 Fire before/after and JV for Hill.

Re: Coaches required to wear helmets.
