Pretty sure the broadcast isn't HD. I'm tuned into the Comcast HD 45 chanel and it's widescreen but the picture is pretty poor, leading me to believe that it's widescreen but not HD.

Agreed. It looks like only two Tier 2 A teams (skaters 18-34) advanced to the State Tournament. Edina Peewee A and Edina Bantam A.

There were 14 Tier 2 A teams in the state: D3: OMG, Wayzata D6: Minnetonka, Edina, Eden Prairie, Prior Lake D8: Woodbury D9: Rochester D10: Centennial, Elk River, Blaine D...

Again, I think it's important that we differentiate between Tier 1 A (1-17) and Tier 2 A (18-34). There are plenty of Tier 1 A teams that compete well against AA. However, Tier 2 A for the most part struggles against AA.

D8 is running separate tournaments for Bantam A and Bantam AA. The Bantam A tournament will be a simple 4 team bracket with 1st, 2nd and 3rd advancing to the East Region.

I thought there was a stronger likelihood that MH could back off the AA/A rule because it is only a 'pilot' this season. The checking rule at Peewees wasn't presented as a pilot - it was a strict rule change.

Do we expect Minnesota Hockey to keep the AA/A program going into next season? Anyone involved with MH leadership have comments?
