Re: webb
Griz. Sorry about that, part of my post got deleted. I did not mean to be cynical. I am glad for Webb that he made it since he is one of the best goalies in the state at the 91 level. I was hoping he would make it and thought that he might not get a fair evaluation from the evaluators since he did n...

Re: Cheap Player
Talmadge, if you are not cheap, why don't most of the players on the D4 team want to kick your a$$. You are cheap in practice and in games. That will get you noticed, but for all the wrong reasons.

Re: what?
not from Owatonna buddy. And I did not say I want Owatonna to upset Edina. I said I want to see some upsets so I can post to all those arrogant people out there who believe that if you not one of the top teams throughout the year, that you don't deserve to be in the State tourney. Look at the HS tou...

Re: Silver Regional Bantam A
I agree with Joshdog. If wearing two different color socks is very unsportmanslike, you have not seen much hockey. As far as the Silver regional, I was there for the whole thing and the only unsportsmanlike issues I saw had to do with the a few parents who can be way over the top. Here is an example...

Re: what?
They beat Buffalo which was ranked 15th and New prague who was 20 in MHJ, so yeah, i guess they can beat teams ranked in the top half of the State. Now will they beat Edina, probably not, but then only two teams beat them this year and they both are in the State tourney also. I hate all the whining ...

I agree with the assessments on the players who stood out that have been mentioned. Couple more that stood out to me were
Connaker frow Owatonna. Good hands and feet and very strong for his size. He plays well with Paulsen on the top line.

Doig and Drazen fron New Prague. Two very solid D-...

Re: REGION TOURNAMENT PICK 'EM CONTEST!
Falkster, nobody is talking about Kato. I kinda like that because they are quietly going about their busisness and not trash talking on this site. They have a bunch of first year Bantams, but watch for their second year kids to step up this weekend. This is going to be a very competitive close Regio...

Re: Thunder Bay "Stars of Tomorrow" AA Tournament
If Fort Frances has a similar PW program as a couple of years ago, they will be comparable to a very good Minnesota A team. We played them up in Cloquet and they were 56 and 1 when we played them. They had won every tourney they had entered and I believe thay won that tourney also

Toronto Prospect Tourney 1991's
I have heard that the Blades were asked to bring a second team to this year's tourney. The 1991 Blades team will go and invitations are being sent out to other 91's to form a second team. Anybody know of any of the other 91's that have been asked

Re: predictions
CanuckGoalie. I do not think that I am predicting the demise of Owatonna. I only base my prediction on the rumor that they will be shorthanded due to a player suspension. Skating 9 kids is very hard on the Olympic sheet. I do think that they have a very good team and could win the whole thing, but I...

Tyler Lapic will flat out play D1 hockey somewhere. Rumor has it he is already being watched by a couple D1 schools. Question is whether he will stay at New Prague HS.

Re: Gaarder, Budish, Everson
I've watched Gaarder play in many tourneys across North America and he is one kid that could play for any 91 team in North America and be a standout. Plays with high energy and makes his linemates better. What more can you ask

Re: Match Penalty
Rumor has it that the Owatonna player received a 5 game suspension. Can anyone confirm this. If that is true, the suspension will probably carry over into Districts unless they had 5 games previously scheduled.
