Re: The Hermantown Thread
TBH....Andrews is no Plante. And as usual, goaltending is their weakness. But when u out shoot ur opponents 2or 3 to 1 no worries there

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Wawawa...I am no huge fan of hermantown. But they put in the work from a very young age. And have amazing training. Yes....they sprinkle in glory seeking parents (eh players).

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Lmao. This thread is so tired. Hermantown will not go AA. They have a supreme resume feeding players into Div 1 hockey. They have an amazing youth program that prepares players. Ya...they get some glory seekers along the way. So what. Just like every successful metro program.

Re: Class A Rankings 1.31.21
I'm wondering where Hermantown and Gentry would rank in AA this year. Both would be top 10 surely, maybe even top 5. Gentry's game against Blake might be the only indicator we get. The Hermantown game vs GR on 02/11 should give a glimpse into where the Hawks could fit into AA. By the way, Hermantow...

Re: The Hermantown Thread
Because CEC and Hermantown are both in the Lake Superior Conference. So GR playing against Hermantown is a waste of time? I think kniven was trying to say that playing a top Class A team like Hermantown is a no-win situation for 7AA teams. QRF treats Class A teams as “lesser” regardless of how good...

Collage dergree worth more than pro contract??? I say yes. Depends on the degree now. Most of them aren't worth anything other than the debt load it took to get them. Chase the dream. You only live once. Can go to college anytime. Met plenty of 40-plus medical students (not to mention unemployed bu...

I figured out a few more... District 11 and District 10 Rosters? D11 was posted earlier: Forwards: Cameron McClure (Lakers) Lucas Small Alex Larson (Denfeld) Nate Pionk (Hermantown) Dylan Michaud (Cloquet, I believe) Mayson Rust Jack Dodd (East) Cade Hella (Proctor) Jake Becks (Hermantown) Kyler Cha...

Re: STA
Wow could you not be more wrong on this one... Care to make an argument to go along with that statement. It was a great tournament. All 3 Duluth East games - vs. WBL, Edina & EP - were classic OT hockey games. My only complaint about the championship game - I was there for that one - was that t...

At the district meeting last year, it was the bigger organizations (East, Herm) who wanted to make 2 even teams. I don't consider Hermantown, East, Cloquet a small organization, ( they have 3 bantam teams ). Small is the towns with only enough kids to field a team. SB has big numbers this year beca...

My sincere apologies. So you admit East stacks one team in order to compete, while Hermantown makes moves to even up their teams late in December? Perhaps Hermantown should bend the rules so they, too, can have a TRUE B1 team. I really have no beef with East --- I do have a problem with teams in the...

I think if you have seen the two Duluth East teams play, you would realize these are not even teams. The score was close when they played last weekend, but the shots on goal were a large margin and the play was in the Black's team most of the game. Can you say hot goalie. Talk to some of the Black'...

Duluth East beat Silver Bay 3-0 in the championship game today to earn the number one seed. By reading the last few posts, Duluth East Red should obviously should have been an A team this year too, right? The only league games they lost were to Silver Bay. I have seen both of these teams play alot ...

No B2 teams @ the Bantam level - too much travel to find other B2 teams to play. So the two B1 teams must be evenly split -- second year now they have done this -- terrible idea, but teams like Silver Bay (that don't have an A team) love it because they make it out of districts many years. Superior ...

D11 cripples it's B teams by making them split them evenly talent wise. Silver Bay needs to move up to A -- pretty clear by going 20 - 0 they don't belong in B playing the watered down talent on the evenly split Hermantown and Duluth East teams. Not fair to B1 players that deserve to be there having...
