Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

Spring Lake Park can now be officially added, “With the recent resignation of Coach DeBoer, the details surrounding summer training are...” Interesting that with realignment 5AA has 9 teams but if Coon Rapids and Spring Lake Park did Co-Op no additional movement of teams (outside preposed 5AA) would...

Is it possible?

Is it possible that the MSHSL would rather run tournaments than test athletes or request test results prior to state events?

Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

Park? I hope you are referring to Spring Lake Park. An abysmal couple of seasons under a guy who claims to have torn up the Australian league  I thought I misheard, thinking it was an Austrian league. Nope, it was Australia. This program is in need of tons of work. There is no continuity betw...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

Let's be real, this season will be a shadow of it's former self. Just look to Fall sports schedules taking place now. The MSHSL will meet again in October and outline what Winter sports will look like, but you can expect something like this... 1. 20% reduction in season length - ie. - less weeks ove...

Re: Covid-19 has stopped training at MAP North

It is possible the two MAP campuses were cross contaminated by staff traveling between those two arenas. What players (or how many?) could’ve been exposed is anyone’s guess at this point. Players that train at MAP range in age from Junior/College/HS to Squirts. The toothpaste is definitely out of th...

Covid-19 has stopped training at MAP North

Multiple coaches and athletes now have confirmed cases. This has caused a temporary pause of training at the Super Rink in Blaine. This happened with all cleaning and temp. protocols in place. We haven’t even made it to the first day of Fall sports starting, school opening on a PT basis (weeks away)...

Re: US WHL Draft

Well, if your asking then power forward Austin Burnevik should be another for consideration.
He's listed at 6'1" but I believe he's actually taller and still has room to grow.
He played Varsity as a top 6 forward at Totino Grace, also as a 2005 Freshman.

Re: US WHL Draft

Take no offense WM but Owen Hendrickson wasn't good enough to play a regular shift on D as a sophomore on Rosemount this season. He was a 3rd liner on the Irish team this past season. Whitelaw was in a good situation this year at SSM but he was no where near ready to compete against late 2001's and ...

He only has to be better than Erickson, right? If he's lauded as NTDP material then I'd take my chances with than one.
