As hockeydad30 pointed out the Wings tourney was checking from 98 up and it went ok. I know for a fact that there are also teams with young 97s out their playing and they were also squirts last year, and they are doing fine with the checking. I say let them start checking 98 and up they will be in ...

Why?? The kids don't care. Sounds like stuff more for the adults and less for the kids. And FYI, no matter how many "classes" you try and insitute 9-2 games will happen. I have seeen teams win 9-2 and the very next day the exact same teams play and the same team that won 9-2 loses to the ...

The '98 brackets were a disaster. Every solid team, except Anaheim, was in the Red Bracket: Machine, Jr. Steelers, Mustangs, Easton Synergy, Jr. Kings. The Blue Bracket had MLH, X-treme, Deuce, Predators and Wildcats. Anaheim loafed their way to the semis. In cross-over play, every Blue Bracket tea...

Hey Thanks! Can anyone else confirm the '98's? I know Anaheim is pretty solid as well - so wasn't sure how this all washed out! The Anaheim Wildcats made it too the semifinals. They were good and had a few 99's as well. The Machine was in the 98' finals. The '98 brackets were a disaster. Every soli...

Maybe the 97 Bulldogs will be competitive at the next tourney. Let the coach and the Min/Wis League know that you are concerned. But beware, will you be happy when they bring in a few ringers and those 3 to 5 "competitive" players end up with less ice time? Make the best out of this, keep...

For some of you that were not at the Wings tourney.................The wings set up the schedule quite unfair and had the weakest teams in their pool so they could get to the championship. In my opinion it was a fixed tournament so the Wings could sweep each division Both the Wings and Jr Bulldogs ...

Re: Winter Youth Tourneys

I am looking for ideas of what makes for a great winter tourney for the association teams. When choosing an in-season tourney for your association what are you looking for? Do you want to play other teams in your district? Want to play higher or lower level competition? Want to travel one or two ho...

Well if your not wanting to play against the best at your age, then don't say you play AAA. Perhaps the problem is there isn't enough spring, summer hockey trnys for all.
No this isn't my problem I am with you, play all you can with whoever you want.

Isn't that sad? People KNOW it's wrong, but will do it anyway because there is no governing body to police it. Let me ask you a question...do you play golf? Do you follow the same philosophy on the course? Do you need someone to tell you what is right and what is wrong, or do you just follow your c...
