Was my internal shot clock off in the 2nd period? Said 5-3? Seemed low? After 2nd period, I thought flood gates might open. The Red Wing goalie played great and gave them a very good chance to win. The Century and Winona boys were quiet all night, but a well tipped fling to the net and we had a gam...

Haha isn't he just a positive guy Hockeyroch? Bob I to am curious as to why you have such a deep hatred for Lourdes? Is Hockeyroch's assessment correct or are you just a sour spartan? Anyways back to the game tonight. I think this will be a great game and has the potential to be the best game and on...

Did somebody say Alex Funk isn't the reason LHS got out of Section 1A? 12 points in 3 games? And Samuelson has 1 Goal? My word. Alex Funk has proved to be a terrific HS player! Now, it is true that Section 1A is an easy road. But even St Peter-Henderson-LeSeuer-etc would have giving them all they'd...

Case closed. Lourdes has proven yet again to be the best team in the city and will advance to state for the 5th year in a row (no other Rochester team had accomplished that feat). They have a good chance of being seeded as well, hopefully they can get that first win at the X. Funk and Samuelson set ...

I agree with all of these incredible games never going to forget that Benilde-Edina game. Jacob Meyers who was only a sophomore stood on his head all game but eventually Everson squeezed in that game winner. My favorite state game in which I've attended to this day. One game that should at least rec...

Section 1A Final- Rochester Lourdes vs Mankato West?
Section 1A final is tomorrow night at the Rec Center. Should be a great game between two competitve teams. In the two teams only meeting this season Lourdes won in a close battle, 3-2. -Rochester Lourdes has two of the top forwards in the state in Funk and Samuelson who are both seniors and are each...

Here is a list of all the Lourdes players who have reached the 100 point milestone in their career. Funk and Samuelson could reach the 200 point mark by season end great players and great kids. Not able to get goal and assists but here are each seasons point totals for most of these players 1. Jaso...

Jason Samuelson breaks Lourdes All-time points record
Congratulations to Jason Samuelson for breaking the Lourdes All time point leader record with 5 assists against Eau Claire Memorial. His total is 175. The record was held by Shawn Corfitts previously at 172. Alex Funk has 168 career points as of now so it is likely that he will also break the record...

This debate is pointless in the end because Section 1-A or AA will get manhandled at state. It's happened year after year. Whether it's Rochester Lourdes or Lakeville representing Section 1, they always bow out early at state. Rochester hockey has declined over the past 10 years. Everything is too ...

Bottom line. LHS is best Class A team in Rochester. Want anything more than that, step up to AA. Anything more than that? I don't think LHS really cares if BadgerBob annoints them or not. They could care less about your approval. Bottom line is facts dont lie, they've been the ones still playing in...

If you want to just compare talent on each Rochester team over the past few years here is another statistic that heavily favors Lourdes. This is a list of the number of players each Rochester team has had in the Upper Midwest Elite Hockey League between 2005-2006 and 2012-2013 seasons,8 year time sp...

Re: Lourdes is better without question
I don't know how there is any confusion when it comes to this question. If you've been a folllower of Rochester high school hockey over the past decade, Rochester Lourdes has been the best team for 8-9 out of 10 years. Look at common opponents overall and the margin of victory. Easily trackable if ...

What? Look at common opponents. Most recently Eau Claire Memorial for starters. I would not say JM has been better for several years, but CHS and Mayo have consistently been better than LHS. At least by common opponents. We'll never know til LHS joins the big boy league. Correct me if I'm wrong but...

If I recall correctly Joey Frazier was also committed to UNO for a brief time period before making a last minute decision to play for Medicine Hat? I can't believe they didn't make the tourney back when they had Sneep, Peltoma, Olson, and Fraizer all on the same team but that's just how it goes some...
