Blame the NHL for this year, but what about the previous years? Maybe Minnesota hockey should showcase our abundance of talent and help grow the sport on the women's side. 16 Minnesota girls represented The U.S. on the U18 squad I would argue the best hockey player at the U, plays on the women's team.

My two cents would give it to Baldwin. Several game winning goals, either in the third or O.T. Plus, you remove her from that team and they become a lot more average. (no offense)

Here is a quote from an AA parent pulled off the Strib. Sad! ACHIEVERS PARENT · "Chris promised my husband and daughter a state championship in 2014 along with any eligibility concerns would be addressed and not to worry. I am truely sorry we made this decision to believe this was the best pro...

Re: Northern Educate/Achiever Acadamey buys Vadnais Complex

I wonder how that effects the Hockey teams from White Bear HS? To heck with WBL teams--the bigger worry is what's going to happen to Sak's... Nothing good can come of it once the High School League gets involved because the building is owned by a school and MSHSL member. Being an aquatic mammal fro...

If there's any truth to the rumor, there's a very offensive minded defender on the way, top shelf A+ level. Not sure how well that will work with their system. When I saw them they played a very conservative defense with solid backchecking. The coach was an attacking D in HS and college. He loved C...

I don't get why they include western wisconsin in the east metro. I''ll stick w/ the tribune. I can think of 3 east metro goalie that deserved to be named. 2 made it to the tourney.

I couldn't agree more stage fright. The last couple of years we had to wait until 11 pm for a tape delayed girls game. I think it is said to pass up the oppurtunity to showcase some of the talented young women playing in the state of hockey.

How about a gopher's womens game, they are doing alright.

If the goalie from Eagan can play right away, I think Cretin could come in and surprise everyone. CDH looked pretty good against Stillwater in sections last year, but the goaltending was shaky.

Sr. Goalies

Who are the preseason favorites to be finalists for Sr. goalie of the year?

Shall we expect to see only the goalies from the top teams with the most D1 players in front of them, as in years past?

One guess would be the easy trip to state through section 4A. If I pcked up on the cowtown reference correctly.

The only reason I say wasted the fee, is I thought I read on here, a while back that someone didn't feel there was much attention on the "B" poolfrom the colleges. With that logic,I would say it may not be worth the fees, not to have some colleges watch you. If what you are looking for is ...

Jr. Fest

Does anyone have an opinion on Jr. fest? My daughter was placed in pool B, are the pools split equally or is it a definate A and B level between pools? I am just curious if I wasted a couple hundred dollars.

Roseville employed a good strategy against H-M that worked, so it would have been interesting to see what other teams at the State Tourney would have done if H-M had made it.

Tonka figured out not to let Flug get behind the D, for her break-aways. I am sure they could have found a way to stop HB.

EP, It doesn't look like anyone can satisfy you with their answer. So I'll give you this question back. What about goalies? How many of the final 5 (for Sr. Goalie) played 90% of the games? Should you not play your best goalie alot either for the sake of development of the next in line? I would say ...

Well I am saying Roseville had a much tougher schedule than you say they had and I include Stillwater and White bear lake as 2 top level opponents. I think Roseville is proving that once again in the state tournament. Check the final Krach. I think a team as loaded as Roseville should have schedule...

What exactly are you looking for? Sure, HB was the engine of that squad and she made everyone around her better. That was apparent when she was gone at the Kaposia and Tonka got a little revenge. Does Breck not play #34 a lot or SSP #3 or Roseville #8. You get a special player you lean on them. It'...

Funny how that weak SEC has 2 teams in the state tournament, it can't be all that bad. I think the Lake which also has 2 teams in the state tournament is also pretty tough. I would put the SEC conference up against any in the state. I didn't say weak conference. I just don't think it is as loaded a...

Dumbest question ever proposed.

I would take HB 100 0f 100 times.
She is a complete package. Just as happy w/ assists as goals. I think she would prefer to see her teamates score than to carry the team herself.
