Re: For What Its Worth
If there is a banquet and it is not in Detroit Lakes but at Kings in Miesville let me know. I have been to a couple of these, me and my better half would enjoy another.

Re: 2021 State Tournament
I was being sarcastic about Education Minnesota. The ads being for students was just a wee bit ironic.

Actually, the lack of advertising is troubling. Why broadcast it for free if you can not sell ads?
Education Minnesota was noticeably absent in a year where they advise teachers to not teach.....hmmm

Re: BHS Hockey Podcast: Season Finale
One thing that stood out to me was there was never any mention, that I heard at least, to the fact that it was the Minnesota Department of Health’s guidance that caused all this chaos in the first place. The MDH guidance says media members count towards the totals allocated. The MDH guidance says ki...

Re: Gentry vs Dodge
I guess the way they're season played out, & how Gentry pretty much steamrolled everyone this season , game result is no surprise. 8-1 running time; can't remember the last time that happened in a championship game. The Twin Cities version of Hermantown. 2014, Edina beat Lakeville North 8-2. That w...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
Let's all be thankful we got the season we got. In most other countries, there were no youth sports this winter. They didn't try. Last winter, Paige Bueckers had her season cancelled the night before the state title game. Jalen Suggs didn't get the chance to play at all. Life goes on and they're ha...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
I mentioned this earlier but the main blame I have with the mshl is this: Knowing what the mdh guidelines are, they should have revised all section schedules so they were completed in excess of 7 days prior to each class’ first tournament game. This would have reduced the risk of a COVID issue by 5...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
This is a Minnesota Department of Health guideline, pages 15 and 16 of the Return to Play document dated March 14th. And it states 14 days is a RECOMMENDATION and also states "If the exposure of the athlete occurs during sports and the athlete is masked, they ARE eligible for shortened quarantine f...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
Last Wednesday I watched a whole line of youth hockey players going to get Covid tests after participating in a Minnesota Hockey regional tournament. They were following the MDH guidelines. To throw wild accusations is ludicrous, Hill-Murray isn’t the first team to be knocked out like they were. Cri...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
Maybe someone knows for sure..... A couple of weeks ago, when teams started pulling out of the post season, I was told that it was the MDH Return to Play guidance that was causing teams to suspend play due to contact tracing absent a positive test on their own team. Was Hill-Murray shut down by the ...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
There is no MDH quarantine related to travel in this state. There never has been. All medical information is confidential, even more so with minors. Hill-Murray, their parents, players, or anyone else has no right to any medical information of someone from another team. None. Asking to have it provi...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
Has any Minnesota court struck down any of the state’s executive branch orders, guidelines, directives, etc. under Walz’s emergency powers? Let them play Minnesota lost numerous times. My idea would be for Hill-Murray to show up at their scheduled time and force the MSHSL/MDH to do something. That i...

This year. There is a thread about classification with a link to enrollments and what the class ranges are for each sport. Now they are hearing appeals, then they will put out the new sections.

I believe Easton Hammil, #25 is the Dodge County defenseman. Just to give the kid a name instead of Lamb, Donovan, and the defenseman.

The MSHSL could just end the season now if forced to alter the plan everyone has played under this far.
Hopefully the judge laughs this out of his courtroom.

Re: Hill-Murray Update
Hill has 0 positive tests. Why should they be punished because their last opponent suddenly has a positive test 5 days later? Doesn’t feel like the same thing when they don’t have any positive tests in their program. I haven’t seen any team have a game canceled because a previous opponent had a pos...

Re: Hill-Murray Update
Why should Hill-Murray be favored? There is whole litany of schools who didn’t get that opportunity in many sports. It sucks, but you can’t change the system everyone competed in now.

Re: Hill-Murray Update
I thought I heard on the podcast that West agreed to move the 1A semifinal game from Saturday to Monday to accommodate East, the MSHSL said no. It was all for naught anyway since East lost to La Crescent.
I can’t see the MSHSL changing their stance now after precedent was set.

8 Dodge County
At least Lamb gets a chance a big tv audience
Class A seedings have been a joke for years, just do away with them.
