Thanks to Frederick for taking time to recognize some good players. I agree with several players that I'm familiar with, and I found the snippets on others fun to read. Stratal and Fire-- take the time to list your own top 50. I'd enjoy reading about some other good players to watch. These lists are...

Re: Bantam A Hockey Tourny or State Football Sidelines

Ok....we have three players that are going to miss a game in a major tourney this weekend. Their High School football team made it to finals, due to the fact they can expand the rosters, so this school is taking the whole 9th grade team to stand on the sidelines in uniform. Mind you they could play...

Re: Proper fit for ALL winter kids

District pooled team, A option, for kids in associations that B is the highest level offered. - Could offer 1 or 2 teams depending on demand and skill. - Would eliminate 10 percent of the kids scoring 90 percent of the goals. - Would give other A teams another decent team to play - The players woul...

Remember, this is a mite discussion. Never too early to teach someone the right way to do things.....Once they learn a bad habit, it is tough to change. Yeah, those mite goalies should definitely work on their backwards crossovers in full goalie gear so that they learn to "do things the right ...

The Tier 1 AAA system is going to happen in the state of MN. I think that if MN Hockey wants to have control over it they need to start to lead it out of the box. If not they are going to get ran over as it comes to be. Back in the old days you could get away with the stuff that goes on in associat...

Our small association produced a great player in recent years. Watched him come up through 1st year bantams, he made every A team he was on much better. Left early to play HS and then left that early for NDP. If your a top 30 player in the state the association will build around you, the summer wil...

:?: Bo,your real issue is with your association. If they'd classify teams at the appropriate levels (i.e., no A teams unless its truly a good fit for the talent in the association), an occasional kid or two could waive out to an A level team in a neighboring association (like centennial, since you ...

You've blurred the discussion so much I can't tell if you are talking about youth or HS ages. A Fire kid doesn't play on the Fire and is a B player? Then you are talking about youth. My Bantam team had three players selected in the NHL Draft. My Bantam B team. One played in the NHL. No, you aren't ...

I'm just not seeing how strong arming less than 100 kids is going to help the more than 40,000 other kids. I see this having a ripple effect, motivating others to take up arms against the system. It may just accelerate the outcome that MNH is so deperately trying to avoid. IM, I agree with you. Not...

Hey, I like MM but here's some observations. ... We've heard of as many as 16 important dads and moms leaving single associations. They want the parents more than the kids. Kids are replaceable. Strong community volunteers are not. Volunteer organizations need association leaders, coaches, managers...

Having just completed the boys side AAA run with a 94' son...I have posted this before but as a parent you need to ask the coach or organization leader one question: Is there equal icetime for everyone? At no time should a coach shorten the bench during the summer. PERIOD !! If your kids was accept...

Sorry, but I just think it's ludicrous to start discussing who the "top" team of 9 year olds are. Do we discuss who the top 4th grade flag football teams in the state are? Do we discuss who the top coach-pitch little league teams in the state are? It's just as crazy to start ranking summe...
