Larson was the leading scorer on the Suburban East Champions and accounted for 22% of the team's point. They don't win the conference without her.

[quote="Goalie-DadMounds View lost 5 seniors last year, only one of which was talented. Two of the graduating seniors played some JV last year. If you look at the line-ups, they lost only 2 players from their top 3 lines. They have great goaltending, very talented defense and lots of experience...

I agree completely with this...she's outstanding and I'm sure her teammates would agree that without her HM wouldn't be nearly the same team. And with her they have the ability to beat anybody on any given night. The most impressive thing to me is the way she's making her teammates better. Their wi...

EP Dad - This why parents have destroyed sports. You have already put it in your mind that he will fail. Therefore, anything he does that you dont agree with you will automatically be assured he is a BAD coach. Instead let the guy come in and show what he can do for three years. Then after three ye...

Re: 4AA

Most of us know the answer to that question! Hey, quit talkin' about RV, how are they supposed to surprise teams if everyone keeps lettin' the cat out of the bag?? Just forget about them and concentrate on the Stillwaters, White Bears, Cretins, and Moundsview!! Mounds View is Section 5AA.......

I also can't believe roseville got out worked. Sorry MV fans. Sometimes teams get the bounces and breaks and on any given night strange things happen. Heard Roseville was also without D Witwicke who I think would make a big difference. Very good player. Very strong Defensively and key player on the...

I am agreeing with you. Livin in the 651 was saying MV outworked roseville. I said I don't see how you can say MV outworked roseville when MV got outshot so bad. Seems to me Roseville outworked MV but goaltending came up big. I'm saying that MV outworked them based on the comment from a Roseville p...

Re: roseville vs mounds view game

mnhocfan wrote:I see mounds view came out with the win. What happened?
MV outworked them. Roseville outshot them, but the MV goalie played well. With Capistrant out, Roseville is not as dangerous - only one line threatens to score. MV matched lines well and kept Brausen and co. in check. A total team win.

MV's first win

Plus beating a team 20-0 that would have trouble beating SEC JV teams is nothing to brag about.

Both teams fighting illnesses.

MV jumped out to 3-0 in the first period. Won every race to a loose puck and took Centennial off their game. Second and thrid periods were even, but Centennial could not breakthrough.

Centennial vs Moundsview Tough way for #7 ranked Centennial to end the season. Extremely bad timing as influenza hit their team hard this week. Many missed school and practice all week. No credit to Mounds View? MV is also fighting illnesses - no one is 100% healthy this time of year. MV had more e...

I personally would like the penalty stiffer for these types of offenses. However, White Bear Lake’s current practice is to follow the recommendations set down by the MSHSL. The rules and subsequent penalties were communicated to the players prior to the start of the season. Coach Kwapick had no oth...

I haven't seen a mention of Erika Allen of Roseville. She played well as an 8th grader and is the #1 goalie at Roseville as a 9th grader. Roseville doesn't have any players to look at. No NDP players, no colleges looking at their kids, maybe a write up of two decent forwards and not much else...smo...

SW v MV

Yes the margins of shots are correct. Mounds Veiw had 16 shots to Stillwaters 5 in the second period. They dominated the game beat Stillwater to the puck as Roseville did in the game before. It was a win not a pretty one to say the least! MV clearly outplayed SW in the second period, but they gave ...

MV v SW and RV

"Woodbury and WBL and even MV and FL played Roseville very tough--then they seem to lay down like dogs vs. SW. Am I wrong about this" - Bensonmum In the MV-SW game it was 2-2 after 2 periods and in the MV-RV game it was 2-1 early in the third. In both instances MV took too many penalties a...
