wannagototherink - maybe you should go to the rink

wannagototherink - just curious why you think that Nick Leddy was/is overated? He won the Mr. Hockey Award last year, he's easily the best dman for the gophers this year, which as a true freshman is pretty impressive. Sure he didn't have many points prior to missing nine games, but no one else did a...

I'm neither a parent or a relative, but have watch probably 75% of EP's game this year, including all the State Tourney Games. I've also watch many other High School games throughout the year, mostly the Lake conferences. I try not to rip on kids, but sometimes I have to state the obvious...I'll lea...

EP Won't Win w/o Leddy

EP wouldn't have been close to going to state w/o Leddy this year, and they probably won't make it next year.

Rau's

The truth is...Kyle is small (but not afraid to hit or be hit), but is very talented, probably the most talented forward on the team. Contrary to Kyle, his brother Curt should probably be a swing (JV & Varsity) player, he can't make a pass, usually creating around 1/2 dozen icing calls again, an...

Nick Leddy - The Best Defenseman in HS Hockey

Nick Leddy is so far ahead of any defenseman In the state in speed (no one will come close), skill (enough said), or vision (scary)...At 6' 185Lbs, he also plays as big as any other big "D" in the state...all you had to do was watch him at the Edina game knocking around their big men. Nick...

Nick Leddy - 2009 Mr. Hockey

MrBoDangles must be Anders Lee's publicist once again spewing crap...I'm not even sure that he's the best forward on Edina, possibly Everson. Danny Mattson and Tyler Pitlick are more talented than Lee. This years Mr. Hockey pick again will be a defenseman in Nick Leddy...he's the faster, most talent...

There is that option, but I believe they would have to sit out a year...does anyone know if this is true?

JGACoach

JGACoach...If you look at when I started this Most of these guys weren't playing yet. Obviously you're a buddy of Lee Smith…he is a great guy, which his downfall because he wants to make everyone happy…with that said, he’s severely lacking as a coach. I went to the Edina tourney last night, and he w...

If he chooses hockey, he'll be playing juniors for a year or two, before he has a chance at D1...he's just not that good of a player yet...fortunately for him, he's surrounded by good talent.

Nick Leddy

If you want to see someone special, go watch Nick Leddy at Eden Prairie...few kids come around any year that can skate like him, and have the vision he has...he's a special player. He'll probably be a late 1st round pick in this year's NHL draft, provided he stays healthy. He'll be playing for the M...

Mr. Hockey

It's funny how all these Edina guys keep marketing Anders Lee, when he's probably not even in the Top 10...must be the entire family chiming in about an above average player, but certainly not Mr. Hockey at this point. Everson is a great goal scorer, but the goals might come a bit tougher w/o Budish...

Nick Leddy Mr. Hockey

Nick Leddy is the most talented player in the state, and should be considered the front runner for Mr. Hockey. If you ever watched him play, you'd see that I'm just stating the obvious. If NHL scouts had all the input, he'd be the guy...here's the latest top 50 from North American Central Scouting.....

Re: This years most talented defenseman?

Breakout...I agree that Schmidt will probably be headed for Fargo. Although I would like to see HS kids stay in school, especially now that they can play all year round against good talent with the HS League and Elite league. From what I understand at EP, there's a few things that happened; 1) Lee S...

This years most talented defenseman?

Who's the defenseman to watch this year? I've watched many HS and Elite games this year, Nick Leddy and Nate Schmidt have impressed me the most. Leddy seems to be the complete package. He's one of the best skaters I've seen (forwards and defensmen), with great vision, has the ability to go coast to ...
