Hes a very very good goalie and played very well in the final 54's thats how he got picked. "what have you done for me lately" Yeah - he did SO good in the 54's that he was dead last in stats there too. 11 GAA in the 54's compared to 6 GAA in the Festival Aint knocking the kid - I...

Kind of depends on the age and level. Our small team last year fell apart during play offs due to injuries at the end of the season. Older kids and higher levels (A/B1) should be full 15/2. This allows more kids to be developed and enough kids provided some get injured. Teams that might have commitm...

Kind of like the White Bear High School girls Edina has discipline problems and have made a name for themselves. It's tough to earn respect back once lost. Last season lack of fair play points cost the Bantam As the D6 title and top seed in the D6 playoffs. They were in the box a lot last year and ...

Faceguard... sounds like a crock to me if your kid was that great there isn't a coach I know that wouldn't take him especially if you are like you say a parent that doesn't get involved. In my experience when kids slip through the cracks is when they or there parents carry baggage. We as coaches ar...

Another word of the day all season is going to be "H1N1". As we are already seeing the impact of this on some of the scores reported. Who is lucky enough to stay healthy will be at a major advantage, given what this has the capability to do to deplete a team. How long does it take to get ...

Bullcrap. You are an alarmist with an agenda. For all we know your stats are made up by another alarmist with an agenda. You make it sound like this rule change is the genesis for MA hockey. Simply not true. Nothing I have read indicates that this is going to happen. New motto: Minnesota Hockey - W...

Re: Something more

Hockeydad41, Thanks for the civil discourse, I am interested however in your view on the downside for players and families having unrestricted choice? I understand your point on my "Harms" but this is the new reality with the proposed rule change even if it is tweaked from this season goi...

The key word there is, "go." Are you suggesting total free agency. Open enroll in any hockey association? I don't think so but your suggested partial remedy is no solution. I'll ask again, since no one on the forum was willing to be honest regarding real motivation, why are we dismantling...

Are you from Chaska? Why leave? I thought Chaska's program/coaching was on par or superior to most D6 programs. And summer Breakaway is great!
